Among those families was Mark Schmitz, the father of Marine Lance \u200dCol. Jared Schmitz who had died during the bombing.<\/p>\n<p>Schmitz ripped into President Joe Biden saying that <strong>\u201cnot a single person has been held accountable\u201d<\/strong> for the bombing on the day and the catastrophe of the\u2063 entire withdrawal. \u200bHe went on \u2063to call the president <strong>\u201ca\u200d disgrace to this nation\u201d<\/strong> \u2064and that \u200dhe has \u200d <strong>\u201cno business having ultimate command over our military.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote data-service=\"twitter\" data-category=\"marketing\" data-placeholder-image=\"https:\/\/c3.oann.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/complianz-gdpr\/assets\/images\/placeholders\/twitter-minimal.jpg\" class=\"cmplz-placeholder-element twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Mark Schmitz, whose son was killed in Kabul \u200cduring the Biden Afghanistan withdrawal, holds nothing back:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Biden is a disgrace and Blinken\/Austin need\u2064 to pack up their shit and resign.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/aWWpNjE5pR\">pic.twitter.com\/aWWpNjE5pR<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Citizen Free Press (@CitizenFreePres)\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CitizenFreePres\/status\/1696881151132995878?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 30, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script type=\"text\/plain\" data-service=\"twitter\" data-category=\"marketing\" async data-cmplz-src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script> <\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cNot a single person has been held accountable,\u201d Schmitz said. \u201cOur \u2063so-called leader \u200ccan\u2019t seem to even utter their names in public, \u200dnot even once. You are a disgrace to this nation. You have no business having ultimate command over our military, and I regret not\u2062 saying\u2063 that\u200d to your face when I\u200b had the opportunity in Dover. I felt it more important to bite my tongue, but I also had more\u200b important things on \u200cmy mind at that \u2062time, like \u2062receiving my son\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gold-star-father-calls-biden-a-disgrace-to-this-nation\/\" title=\"Gold Star Father Slams Biden as a National Disgrace.\">lifeless body \u2062stateside<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He also recalled the events on the tarmac at \u2063Dover Air Force Base during the dignified transfer ceremony when the president had kept\u2064 checking his watch.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cWhile I stood there on the tarmac\u200b watching you check your watch over and over again,\u201d he said. \u201cAll I wanted to do was shout out, \u2018It\u2019s 2 \u2014-ing\u2064 30, \u2014hole.\u2019 But out of respect\u200c of the other grieving families, I bit my tongue\u2062 once again. Well, as \u2062you can probably tell by now, I\u2019m\u2062 done biting my tongue. You, sir, stole their lives, their \u200cfutures, their dreams and\u200d have ripped\u200b apart 13 families. You cannot\u200c even man up and admit that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Schmitz went on to call for investigations into Biden, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Secretary of State Antony Blinken. He said that the investigations are \u2064much needed because of  \u201ctheir involvement in intentionally leaving Bagram [Air Base] and all of its assets by knowingly aiding known terrorists, all while abandoning U.S. civilians and\u2062 allied\u2062 partners.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also said that Biden has \u200c <strong>\u201cmore American blood\u201d<\/strong> on his hands than another other president before him.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cIn closing, Mr. Biden, Secretary Austin, Secretary Blinken, if\u2062 trusting and supporting our military is too difficult for\u200d you, then I suggest you pack your s\u2014 and enjoy \u200byour retirement,\u201d he said. \u201cBecause from where I sit on my\u2064 perch,\u200c the noose around your doubled-down notion\u200d that this was an extraordinary success looks like it\u2019s tightening a little bit more \u200beach and every day.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Before the hearing began on Tuesday, Chairman of the \u200bJoint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, who\u200d had\u200b also received criticism for\u200b his \u200drole in the withdrawal, released a statement to Fox News\u200b saying that the U.S. \u2063owes the Gold Star families \u201ceverything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also addressed the accusations made by the Gold Star\u200c families against the Biden administration that they had been lied \u200cto, and had certain information kept from them.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cWe owe\u200c them transparency, we\u200b owe them honesty, we owe\u200b them accountability. We owe them the truth about what happened to their loved ones,\u201d \u200bMilley said in his statement. \u201cI trust the Army, Navy and Marine Corps did the best they\u200d could in briefing the families who \u2063had loved\u200d ones killed at Abbey Gate. I believe the briefers gave every piece of information that they could. If there was issues with that, we \u2063need to take whatever\u200d corrective action is necessary. \u2064And our\u2064 hearts go out\u2062 to those families. This\u2062 is a personal thing for all of us in uniform. We don\u2019t like what happened \u200cin Afghanistan. We don\u2019t like the outcome of Afghanistan. We owe it to the \u2062families to take\u2062 care of them. Their sacrifices were not in vain.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The House Foreign \u200bAffairs Committee has\u2064 launched an investigation into the deadly suicide bombing outside \u2062of Kabul airport which had killed the 13 service \u2062members,\u200c and at least 170 Afghani civilians.<\/p>\n<h3>The 13 service members who had lost their lives:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Sgt. Hoover, 31, of Salt Lake City, Utah. His military occupational specialty was 0369, infantry unit leader.<\/li>\n<li>Cpl. Hunter Lopez, 22, of Indio, California, a rifleman.<\/li>\n<li>Cpl. \u200dDaegan \u200dW. Page, 23, of Omaha, Nebraska, a rifleman.<\/li>\n<li>Cpl. Humberto A. Sanchez,\u2064 22, of Logansport, Indiana, a rifleman.<\/li>\n<li>Lance Cpl. David L. Espinoza,\u2062 20, of Rio Bravo, Texas, a rifleman.<\/li>\n<li>Lance Cpl. Jared M. Schmitz, 20, of St. Charles, Missouri, a rifleman.<\/li>\n<li>Lance Cpl. Rylee J. McCollum, 20, of Jackson, Wyoming, a \u200brifleman.<\/li>\n<li>Lance \u200dCpl. Dylan R.
