These capabilities are crucial for preserving and protecting our sovereignty and security, while also promoting stability in the region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The government has allocated \u2064$765 million \u200dto the AIR6500 Phase 1 \u200c(AIR6500-1) program, also known as \u2062the Joint Air Battle Management System program. It will serve as a blueprint \u2063for future military Joint All-Domain Operations worldwide,\u201d said \u200dHill.<\/p>\n<p>She added, \u201cWe are honored to be chosen as the trusted strategic \u200dpartner to lead and deliver this important sovereign capability, in collaboration with Australian industry, to \u200bthe Australian Defence Force.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This groundbreaking\u200d system will provide the ADF with \u200cenhanced situational awareness and security against advanced air and \u2064missile threats, while also improving interoperability with the United States and other partners like the UK.<\/p>\n<h2>Benefits to Australia<\/h2>\n<p>Warren Macdonald, CEO of Lockheed Martin Australia and New Zealand,\u200b emphasized \u2064the company&#8217;s collaborative approach to the \u200dproject, stating that &#8220;the majority of the program workshare will be allocated to Australian industry.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Lockheed Martin has already identified \u200cover 130 potential Australian small to medium \u2062enterprises as partners and has awarded contracts to 10 Australian firms, including Leidos Australia, Consunet, Consilium, and C4I.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Defence Strategic Review identified the need for an enhanced air and missile defence capability in Australia.
