min-height: 50px;  text-align: center;\">  \t<script>  \t\tgoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1'); });  \t<\/script>  <\/div>\n<div class=\"ad-slot__ad-label\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>The\u200b Japanese\u2063 yen\u200c hovered around \u200b146 per dollar \u2062following its overnight rebound from a 10-month trough at 147.375, as a\u200c drop in Treasury yields took away support for\u200b the U.S. \u2063currency.<\/p>\n<p>The Australian dollar dropped from near a two-week \u200bpeak\u2063 after inflation there cooled by more than economists predicted\u2062 in July.<\/p>\n<p>China\u2019s yuan was buoyed above a 10-month low\u200c in offshore trading after \u200dthe\u2063 country\u2019s central bank again\u200d set\u2064 a much stronger than anticipated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/exclusive-china-prepares-to-tweak-yuan-fixing-process-to-slow-its-fall-source\/\" title=\"Exclusive-China prepares to tweak yuan fixing process to slow its fall -source\">official mid-point<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Cryptocurrency bitcoin eased back slightly after surging\u200d more than\u200d $2,000 in the previous session \u200cto hit a nearly two-week top \u2063at $28,142, \u2064following a court ruling that\u2064 could pave the way for a first-of-its<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dollar-licks-wounds-after-jobs-shock-aussie-dips-as-inflation-cools\/\" title=\"Dollar recovers from jobs shock; Aussie weakens as inflation cools.\">-kind \u2063spot \u2062bitcoin exchange \u200dtraded fund<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. dollar index \u2013 which measures the \u200bcurrency\u2063 against six developed-market \u2063peers including the yen \u200band euro \u2013 was little changed at 103.57 \u200dafter\u200c pulling back from as high as 104.36 overnight after \u200da sharp \u2064drop in the\u200c U.S. JOLTS job openings data to a 2-1\/2 year low in July.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith traders\u200c now sensitive\u2062 to \u200dweaker \u200cU.S. data \u200din\u2064 hopes of \u2063the Fed\u2019s peak rate, I\u2019d expect USD bears to pounce on the back of any data which backs up the JOLTS \u2064jobs report,\u201d said Matt Simpson, a market analysts at City Index. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhilst this brings excitement that yields and the U.S. dollar have topped, we\u2019d \u200dwarrant some \u200bcaution given it was in\u2062 response to second-tier employment data, and there is plenty of \u2063more data\u200d to come\u200c out this week,\u201d culminating in Friday\u2019s monthly non-farm\u2062 payrolls report, Simpson added.<\/p>\n<p>The two-year Treasury yield, which is most sensitive to expectations \u2064for monetary policy, slumped as much as 18 basis points (bps) to 4.871% before recovering to around 4.9% in Asian trading hours.<\/p>\n<p>The\u2062 10-year yield held near Tuesday\u2019s low of 4.106%, a level last seen on Aug. 11, hovering at around 4.13%.<\/p>\n<p>The dollar bought 146.14 yen, recovering 0.2% from Tuesday. <\/p>\n<p>The euro edged down 0.1% to $1.08675 \u200dafter rallying 0.56% \u2064overnight.<\/p>\n<p>Money market\u2064 traders \u2063currently place 86.5% odds for the Fed to keep rates steady on Sept. 20, although the odds for \u200ba hike at the following meeting in November are close to 50\/50.<\/p>\n<p>Investors had raised hawkish \u200bFed bets recently amid a spate of resilient data.
