Its 2019 \u2063squad followed suit \u2062with another 16\u20130 campaign and a state\u2062 title.<\/p>\n<p>Annett, who committed earlier this summer to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/how-fighting-for-college-football-became-the-biggest-battle-of-my-career\/\" title=\"The College Football Fight: My Career's Ultimate Battle\">play college football<\/a> at Boise\u200d State, has thrown for 517 yards and seven touchdowns in two games,\u200b including a season-opening 34\u201323 victory\u200d over Downey.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe only thing I\u2019m focused \u2063on right \u200cnow is CDM football, winning\u200b a state championship, and getting\u200c ourselves a ring,\u201d Annett told The Epoch Times. \u201cThat\u2019s the\u200b only thing. (David Woolbert\/David Woolbert Photography)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Annett had to be \u200bgood against \u200dCypress, given the presence of Centurions quarterback \u200cAidan Houston on the other\u200b side.\u2064 The multi-threat senior \u201cwas Superman,\u201d according to a post-game social-media \u2064post from his coach, Rick \u2064Feldman. Houston threw for 246 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 141 yards\u200b and another score.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat Houston kid \u2062is\u2064 special,\u201d Sea Kings Coach Kevin Hettig told The Epoch Times. \u201cHe\u2019s a problem throwing it and running it. They do\u2062 so many good \u200bthings, getting him space. That was\u200d two very good \u200cOrange County quarterbacks right there, two guys\u200c that are going to be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/swedish-soccer-star-slams-lebron-james-stop-preaching-politics-do-what-youre-good-at\/\" title=\"Swedish Soccer Star Slams LeBron James: Stop Preaching Politics, \u2018Do What You\u2019re Good At\u2019\">playing football<\/a> on Saturdays down the road for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Junior tight end Zach Giuliano also caught two touchdown passes from Annett, a 38-yard strike in the second quarter and a 13-yarder that extended a Corona del Mar lead\u200d to 27\u201317 late\u200d in the third period.<\/p>\n<p>Sandwiched around Giuliano\u2019s second score were\u200c two huge\u2064 Sea Kings defensive stands. (David Woolbert\/David Woolbert Photography)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Senior safety Thomas\u2064 Telesco later sealed the victory with a 55-yard interception return for a touchdown.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe defense made stops when they \u200bhad to in the second half,\u201d \u2062Mr. Hettig\u200c said. \u201cWhen I look at \u200cour ceiling, we have to kind of evaluate how we played and get better.\u200c That\u2019s the only thing that matters now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Certainly,\u2064 Annett and Weir figure to \u2064play huge roles if\u200d the Sea Kings are to remain on a championship path.
