Eastman is one of 19 \u200cdefendants, including \u2064former President Donald Trump, who have been indicted on\u200c charges of \u2063conspiring to overturn\u200d the \u200delection. If we can&#8217;t\u2064 speak out about that, then our freedom of \u200dspeech and our\u200b right to\u200d petition the government for\u2062 redress of\u200b grievances are at stake.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Eastman \u200cfirmly \u2063believes that his case is part of a larger battle against \u2063government overreach. &#8220;As an attorney, I firmly believe that the \u200dpeople I\u200d represented had a right to counsel,&#8221; he explained. &#8220;The bar complaints and attempts to\u200b stifle representation in election challenges, such as the Fulton\u200c County complaint, are clear attempts to prevent people from exercising their rights.
