Andrew Clyde (R-GA), who recently announced a pair of amendments aimed at defunding federal and state prosecutions of major presidential candidates leading up to the 2024 \u200delection. Clyde. &#8220;I&#8217;m proud to lead this effort, and I hope my GOP colleagues will join\u2062 me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Trump currently faces several criminal and \u200bcivil cases, including a\u2064 documents\u2064 case and a 2020 election case led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/sidney-powell-is-an-american-legal-giant\/\" title=\"Sidney Powell Is an American Legal Giant\">special counsel<\/a> Jack Smith. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) has introduced legislation \u200bto\u2063 defund the \u200cspecial counsel, and\u200d Rep.
