Fox News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/burismas-devon-archer-met-secretary-state-kerry-weeks-before-shokin-fired\">confirmed<\/a> this month that the &#8220;S&#8221; refers to \u2064Kerry.<\/p>\n<h3>Firing of Ukrainian Prosecutor General<\/h3>\n<p>Ukrainian prosecutor general Viktor Shokin was fired from his\u200c position weeks later, on March 29, 2016. He said in an interview on\u2062 Saturday with Fox News that he was fired at\u2063 the urging of\u200d then-vice president Biden because \u200che was investigating Burisma Holdings, the Ukrainian gas giant\u2064 that employed Archer and Hunter Biden on\u2062 its board.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I have said repeatedly in my previous\u2064 interviews that [then-Ukrainian president Petro] Poroshenko fired me at the insistence of the then-vice president Biden because I was investigating Burisma,&#8221; Shokin <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/burismas-devon-archer-met-secretary-state-kerry-weeks-before-shokin-fired\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Hunter \u200dBiden&#8217;s Involvement<\/h3>\n<p>Archer reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/hunter-biden-called-dc-to-get-ukraine-prosecutor-fired-for-burisma-his-ex-business-partner-reportedly-testifies\/\">testified<\/a> in July that Hunter &#8220;called D.C.&#8221; in 2015 to get \u2063Shokin fired.<\/p>\n<p>Archer alleged that Burisma executives pressured Hunter Biden to &#8220;get help from D.C.&#8221; to push for the firing. At the time, Joe Biden oversaw the Obama administration&#8217;s policy toward \u200dUkraine.<\/p>\n<h3>Contradicting the &#8220;Illusion\u2063 of Access&#8221; \u2063Narrative<\/h3>\n<p>The suggestion that the first son used his\u2063 father&#8217;s \u2064influence to benefit his Ukrainian employer runs counter to <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/media\/drews-receipts-the-illusion-of-access\/\">commentary<\/a> from some in the media, who argue\u200c that \u2063while Hunter Biden profited from his father&#8217;s name, he sold only the &#8220;illusion of access&#8221; and never actually involved his father in his \u2063business.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Really a stunning development,&#8221; one \u2063CNN host\u2062 said last \u2062month while inaccurately \u200dsummarizing Archer&#8217;s testimony, &#8220;apparently business was never discussed.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The network was \u200cmislead by Rep.
