stated National Security\u200b Council\u200c spokeswoman Adrienne Watson in a statement to the Daily Caller News Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As\u200d with all identified human\u200c smuggling networks \u2014 which seek to prey on the vulnerable and evade nations&#8217; legal systems \u2014 the U.S. government immediately took steps to successfully disrupt it,&#8221; Watson told the DCNF.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There was no indication \u2014 \u200dand\u2063 remains no \u2062indication \u2014 \u2063that any of \u200cthe individuals facilitated by\u200c this\u200b network have a connection to a foreign terrorist organization \u2064or are engaged\u2062 in plotting a terrorist attack in the United\u2063 States,&#8221;
