This clash comes just\u2064 before a crucial term that\u200c could determine\u200d the fate of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/poll-78-of-american-voters-favor-stronger-voter-id-laws\/\" title=\"POLL: 78% Of American Voters Favor Stronger Voter ID Laws\">voter integrity measures<\/a> and abortion laws.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>Chief Justice Annette Ziegler&#8217;s Strong Words<\/h3>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Chief Justice Annette Ziegler\u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/wisconsin-supreme-court-liberals-conservative-chief-justice-81d040f7a59c210c8ba2a4c8007834b5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">condemned<\/a> the actions of the new liberal \u20644-3 court majority, particularly their decision to remove a longstanding court director. The liberal justices \u2063swiftly \u2063fired Randy Koschnick as soon as\u200d he switched sides earlier this month. Koschnick \u2064held the \u2062position of the top non-judicial officer in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nyc-man-arrested-three-times-in-36-hours-brags-of-release-due-to-cash-bail-reform\/\" title=\"NYC Man Arrested Three Times in 36 Hours Brags of Release Due to Cash Bail Reform\">state court system<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In an\u2062 email obtained by\u200b the Associated Press, Ziegler expressed her \u2062frustration, stating, &#8220;You \u2063are making a mess of the judiciary, the court, and the\u200b institution for years to come. This must stop&#8230; I have no \u200cconfidence in the recent hostile takeover and the chaotic effect\u2064 it has had on the court, staff, and the \u2063overall stable functioning of the courts.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ziegler&#8217;s emails were sent to the other six justices \u200dand interim state court\u200c director Audrey Skwierawsk, who \u200bwas handpicked by the liberal judges. According to\u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wicourts.gov\/sc\/rules\/chap70.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wisconsin\u200d law<\/a>, the court director is supposed to &#8220;be\u2062 hired by and serve at the pleasure of \u2063the \u200csupreme \u200dcourt, under the direction of the chief justice.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ziegler also\u200d accused Skwierawsk\u2062 of signing court orders in her name without authorization. &#8220;It \u200bhas come to my attention that\u2064 you \u2062have been\u200c signing my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wisconsin-supreme-court-chief-says-liberal-justices-staging-coup-destroying-constitution\/\" title=\"Wisconsin's Chief Justice accuses liberal justices of staging a coup and undermining the Constitution.\">reserve judge orders<\/a>\u2062 without my knowledge\u200c or approval,&#8221; Ziegler wrote. &#8220;You\u200c never asked me for permission. You do \u2063not have my permission. \u2062Stop. These orders are in my name.\u200d You have no lawful authority to sign \u2064them. If you have signed anything else under my name, please advise immediately.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Furthermore, the\u2064 liberal judges attempted to shift judicial work away from \u200bZiegler and onto a committee, a \u2062move that she believes undermines the court&#8217;s integrity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ziegler \u2063concluded her email by stating, &#8220;Again, I will not condone such\u200c lawless destruction of the\u2063 constitution, the judiciary, or the court. This is nothing short of an unprecedented coup. For 40 years, the role of the Chief Justice has been understood and respected. Your short-term \u2062goals will cause long-term, irreparable damage to the judiciary. What\u2062 a historical disgrace.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Divided Opinions<\/h3>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Judge Rebecca Dallet defended the actions of the \u200cliberal justices, stating that \u200cthey were simply \u200dfulfilling their constitutional duties. &#8220;We are simply creating a\u200b process so that \u2062a majority of the court can effectively \u2063work\u2062 in the face \u200bof an intransigent and\u2062 uncollegial chief who apparently insists\u2062 on a public debate about issues for political\u200d purposes, rather than allow\u2063 a court \u200dmajority to function as it always has,&#8221; Dallet argued.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This clash between \u2063the justices comes \u2062after liberal Judge Janet\u200b Protasiewicz <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/liberal-wisconsin-judge-wins-supreme-court-race-flips-balance-of-court\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">defeated<\/a> conservative-backed candidate \u2064Dan Kelly \u200bin April, resulting in a shift\u200d of control to the\u2063 liberal judges for \u2064the first time in 15 years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Protasiewicz received support from left-wing billionaire George Soros, Illinois Democratic Gov.\u200b J.B.
