What a coincidence!<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-692449276\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-ed784643f8713077f6b5cc18b75b2776 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-ed784643f8713077f6b5cc18b75b2776\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>What this means is that Trump, the Republican front-runner by a wide margin, \u2063will not be able to campaign ahead of the most important date on the \u200dGOP primary calendar. It also means he\u2019ll likely be tied up in court a\u2064 week later on March 12, \u200bwhen four more \u2064states hold primary elections.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>But\u200c this isn\u2019t merely election \u201cinterference,\u201d it\u2019s a naked attempt to rig the 2024 election. The timing \u2064here is important, because not only \u200bwill Trump be pulled off the campaign trail at a crucial time, he \u200dwill almost certainly be convicted over the summer. After all, the jury in this\u2064 case will\u2062 be drawn from a pool that \u200bvoted 92 percent for Joe Biden. No matter how <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/08\/02\/doj-indictment-of-trump-is-a-declaration-of-war-against-american-voters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">outlandish and unconstitutional<\/a> the charges are, no matter how utterly politicized the process is, a D.C. jury\u200d is going to convict Trump.<\/p>\n<p>A summer 2024 conviction sets up the real play here, which\u2063 is for\u2062 blue states and counties to remove Trump from the\u2064 ballot, citing a faulty and blatantly lawless reading of the\u2064 14th\u00a0Amendment. Assuming Trump\u2064 wins the GOP primary, this will leave Republicans with <em>no<\/em> candidate \u2063on the ballot\u200c across vast swaths of the country heading into \u2063the fall. Even if the \u200bSupreme Court steps \u2064in, if \u200bDemocrats time it just right it will be \u200dtoo late to send out corrected, lawful ballots in\u2062 time for Election Day. <\/p>\n<p>Whatever one thinks of Trump\u2019s post-2020 election challenges \u2062\u2014 whether they were legitimate, delusional, or downright treasonous \u2062\u2014 that was nothing compared to what Democrats are trying to pull here.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-5266e7bbed8262efdcfb681836e15532 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-5266e7bbed8262efdcfb681836e15532\"><\/div>\n<p>Consider the \u200ctimeline alone. How on earth could a case involving millions of documents and hundreds of witnesses be ready for trial by March? And \u2063how \u2062does Trump already have a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/senators-call-for-declassification-of-9-11-documents-related-to-saudi-arabia\/\" title=\"Senators Call For Declassification of 9\/11 Documents Related To Saudi Arabia\">trial date set<\/a>\u2063 in his\u200c Jan. 6-related case when dozens\u2063 of other\u200b Jan. \u20626 defendants have been \u200brotting away in federal prison for years now?<\/p>\n<p>One lawyer for Jan.\u200d 6 defendants <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/shipwreckedcrew\/status\/1696221031395102829?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">explained on Twitter<\/a> that he had a \u201crelatively simple\u201d Jan. \u20636 case that\u2062 was\u200b indicted in late March in D.C., and at a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democrats-arent-interfering-in-2024-election-with-trump-trial-theyre-blatantly-rigging-it\/\" title=\"Democrats aren't \"interfering\" in the 2024 election with Trump trial, they're clearly rigging it.\">recent status hearing\u200d dates<\/a>\u2062 were discussed for \u200da trial in March or April \u200b2024: \u201cSo I\u200c get a year between indictment and trial in a one-defendant relatively straight-forward J6 case. And Trump gets 8 months in a case with 12 million\u2064 pages of discovery and well over 100 \u200dwitnesses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u2062whole thing\u200d is a naked abuse of power \u2014 a violation of Trump\u2019s Sixth\u00a0Amendment right to effective\u2063 assistance of counsel, \u200cto say nothing \u2063of his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/states-push-to-rein-in-big-tech-as-federal-gears-grind-slow\/\" title=\"States Push to Rein in Big Tech as Federal Gears Grind Slow\">free speech rights<\/a>, which \u200dDOJ Special Counsel Jack \u200dSmith is <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/08\/02\/doj-indictment-of-trump-is-a-declaration-of-war-against-american-voters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">trying to criminalize<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The Obama-appointed Judge\u2064 Chutkan, who has a penchant for handing down harsher sentences for Jan. 6 cases than what federal \u200cprosecutors recommended, has already betrayed\u200c her politically motivated bias in this case. Her claim that Trump would get \u201cno more or less deference than any other \u200cdefendant\u201d \u200cis contradicted by her observation that because Trump has \u201cconsiderable resources\u201d\u200d he\u2063 is \u201cnot entitled to unlimited preparation time.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-8abaab168fb7cdf282533c96563c00ee fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-8abaab168fb7cdf282533c96563c00ee\"><\/div>\n<p>In\u200b other words, because Trump is wealthy, and \u200dbecause the political calendar dictates that Democrats move their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democrats-seek-to-change-election-rules-ahead-of-recall\/\" title=\"Democrats seek to change election rules ahead of recall\">election-rigging scheme<\/a> along quickly, Trump\u2019s trial is getting fast-tracked.\u2062 There\u2019s no \u200bother explanation for \u2064why this trial date is being set so soon \u2063after \u2064the indictment, and \u2062why March\u2062 4 was chosen as \u2064the specific date.<\/p>\n<p>As John\u200d Hasson noted on Twitter, two separate courts have now attempted to set March 4 as Trump\u2019s trial date.\u200b In Georgia, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis\u200d tried to set Trump\u2019s\u2064 trial date for March 4, but Republican \u2062Gov. Brian Kemp shut it down.\u2062 Now Judge Chutkan has done the same.
