Lee Zeldin Arrested on Federal Assault Charge\">state-level charges<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>However, the prosecution \u200bside in the trial said there is \u201cnothing to show\u201d how Meadows\u2019 involvement to allegedly overturn the results was\u200b not within his official duties. <\/p>\n<p>Additionally, prosecutors argued Meadows did not act under his\u2062 federal \u200cauthority because <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/georgia-election-hearing-court-adjourns-with-no-decision-yet-in-meadows-case\/\" title=\"Georgia Election Hearing: No Decision Yet in Meadows Case as Court Adjourns\">federal laws bar officials<\/a> from being involved in politics. <\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors said all\u200c Meadows had to\u200c do during the \u2062hearing Monday was \u201clook at that law, something he\u200d astronomically paid\u2063 no attention to today.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The\u2063 judge added if he does not rule\u2064 by September 6<sup>th<\/sup>, \u2063which is the date the defendants are set to \u200bbe arraigned, Meadows will\u2064 have to \u2063go through the\u200c arraignment as planned.<\/p>\n<p>Stay informed!\u2064 Receive breaking\u200b news blasts directly to your inbox for free.
