The survey \u2062asked 1,017 members of the general population, who haven&#8217;t served on a jury \u2064in the past 10 years, about their confidence in the court&#8217;s ability to find and seat jurors who can set \u200daside their prior \u2063beliefs about Trump\u2064 and decide the case based on evidence.<\/p>\n<p>Shockingly, 71 percent of respondents expressed their lack of confidence, with 30 percent stating\u200d they were &#8220;not at all confident&#8221; and 41 percent \u2063saying they were &#8220;not too confident&#8221; about the possibility of an impartial jury. Only \u200c28 percent expressed\u2063 confidence, with the majority of them being &#8220;somewhat confident.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It is worth noting that Americans&#8217; faith in the \u200djury \u200bprocess has remained strong over the years, despite controversial outcomes in high-profile cases. However, the politically charged nature of the cases involving\u2062 the 45th president could potentially\u2063 erode this faith, as both pro-Trump and anti-Trump factions may be unwilling\u2062 to accept a jury outcome they perceive as unfair.<\/p>\n<h3>Political Composition of Jurisdictions<\/h3>\n<p>This problem is further exacerbated by the political composition of the jurisdictions where President Trump will be tried,\u200b as most of them \u2064lean substantially to the left on the political spectrum.
