Meadows himself is\u200c charged with violating the Georgia RICO Act \u200cand soliciting the violation \u200cof an oath\u2062 by a public officer.<\/p>\n<p>In his defense, Meadows\u2064 argues that everything he did was within the scope of his official duties \u2064as chief of staff for the president. He testified that his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-white-house-chief-meadows-says-his-actions-in-georgia-recount-shielded-by-federal-law\/\" title=\"Meadows: Federal Law Protects My Actions in Georgia Recount\">job involved long hours<\/a> and overlapping responsibilities between \u200dthe White House and monitoring the election.
