DeSantis has already passed and signed into law the most comprehensive immigration plan in the nation and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flsenate.gov\/Session\/Bill\/2023\/1617\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HB1617<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flsenate.gov\/Session\/Bill\/2023\/1718\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SB1718<\/a> has \u2063already proven its effectiveness\u2064 within\u2064 the state of Florida.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Florida House\u2064 Bill \u20621617\/Senate Bill \u20631718 makes using E-Verify mandatory for \u200cany employer \u200dwith 25 or more employees, imposes enforceable penalties for those employing illegal aliens, and enhances penalties for human \u2062smuggling. The bill also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democrat-kansas-gov-kelly-signs-bill-to-allow-local-police-to-cooperate-with-feds-on-immigration-enforcement\/\" title=\"Democrat Kansas Gov. The driver was\u200b sentenced to two years in prison, ordered \u2064to pay restitution, and deported again afterward.<\/p>\n<p>The Florida state representative\u2019s endorsement of\u2062 Mr. DeSantis and her\u2064 experience of loss due to\u200d illegal immigrant \u200dcrime is \u2063shared\u2063 by Ms. Mendoza.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGovernor DeSantis has put a very strong E-Verified \u2064law forward, anybody \u2063caught in Florida transporting illegals it\u2019s a crime, any states that give illegals a driver license if they\u200c come to Florida \u200dand drive in Florida \u2063and they\u2019re pulled over that \u200bdriver\u2019s license will not be recognized in Florida because \u2064they\u2019re in the country illegally.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ms.\u2063 Mendoza\u2019s son, \u200bSgt. Brandon Mendoza of \u2064the Mesa, Arizona Police Department, was killed\u2062 on May 12, 2014, in a violent head-on collision\u2062 on his\u2062 way home\u200d from work \u200bby\u2064 a repeat illegal immigrant who had driven over 35 miles the wrong way\u2062 on \u2063four different freeways before slamming\u2064 head-on into her son\u2019s \u2063vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAngel families\u2062 have been marginalized for the\u2062 crimes committed against us and illegal criminals really have the upper hand \u200din\u2064 many states,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis has unveiled an ambitious immigration\u200b plan\u2064 for 2025 should he become president, \u2062which includes ending birthright \u200ccitizenship, completing the border wall, and deploying U.S. forces into Mexico to combat drug cartels.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Angel \u200cMoms on Trump<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Although Ms. Mendoza \u200bcurrently\u200b supports \u2064Mr. DeSantis, she was previously \u200da Trump \u2062supporter and stood by him during both of his presidential campaigns and when\u200c he was\u2062 in or vying\u2063 for the \u2063White House.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was at the White House many times, he invited me for a \u2063round table with law enforcement and congressional members when\u200c they\u200d were talking about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/angel-moms-on-the-immigration-policies-of-trump-and-desantis\/\" title=\"Angel Moms weigh in on Trump and DeSantis' immigration policies.\">anti-sanctuary city legislation<\/a>,\u201d \u200dshe said. \u201cI was there when he signed his first veto \u2026 \u2062I would get a \u2062phone call and \u200dmy life would stop and I would do anything for\u2064 that man, he was my president.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Mendoza\u200d even\u200d missed her oldest granddaughter\u2019s high school \u200bgraduation \u200cbecause she received a \u2064call from President Trump requesting her presence at the White House for a meeting.<\/p>\n<p>She credits President Trump \u2062with making significant strides in curbing \u2063illegal immigration.<\/p>\n<p>President Trump, on the other hand,\u2064 has criticized Mr. DeSantis for\u2063 &#8220;copying&#8221; his \u2062immigration platform.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, his plan\u2062 is my plan,\u201d Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/www.semafor.com\/article\/06\/27\/2023\/his-plan-is-my-plan-trump-says-desantis-copied-his-immigration-strategy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told \u200bSemafor<\/a> \u2062in June. \u201cI mean, he\u2019s \u200cbasically\u2063 copied \u2064everything I said\u2014catch and release, finish the wall.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The former president also claimed that he had\u200c already used &#8220;deadly force&#8221; against illegal \u200dimmigrants\u2063 suspected of drug trafficking, while Mr.\u2063 DeSantis has only discussed it, and that he\u2063 would &#8220;do it \u200bagain.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Mr. DeSantis&#8217;s \u200dborder plan mirrors several \u200bof President Trump&#8217;s policies implemented during his time in the White House. The Florida governor aims to reinstate President Trump&#8217;s &#8220;Remain\u200c in Mexico&#8221; policy and\u2064 renew a \u200cnational \u2062emergency declaration \u2064that President Trump put into effect to \u2063release federal\u200c funds for completing \u2063the border \u2063wall.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnder my leadership, we had the most secure border in U.S. history so far. We replaced catch-and-release with detain-and-deport.
