A court ruling in\u200c July mandated the redrawing of the\u2062 state&#8217;s congressional districts, providing Democrats with\u2064 an opportunity to tilt the seats\u200c in their favor. \u2064In \u20632022, an appeals court deemed the Democratic-led congressional\u2062 lines illegal, leading\u200d to the adoption of new lines that greatly\u200d benefited Republicans in the midterm elections. Now, another \u2062appeals court has ruled that New York&#8217;s redistricting commission must be \u200dformed by a bipartisan state commission ahead of the \u200c2024 elections.<\/p>\n<p>In April, Stefanik \u2064launched a &#8220;battleground fund&#8221; aimed at supporting the election\u2064 of congressional Republicans in New York. This marks their first major expenditure of \u200cthe 2024 election cycle, as they strive to regain seats lost to Republicans in the \u2062midterms.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;New York will \u200dplay an important and outsized role in the outcome\u200c of the 2024 House elections.
