The letter details how Malley may have breached three separate security guidelines meant to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-pentagon-pick-colin-kahl-denies-leaking-classified-information-on-social-media\/\" title=\"Biden Pentagon Pick Colin Kahl Denies Leaking Classified Information on Social Media\">protect classified information<\/a>. Malley was put on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/louisiana-judge-resigns-over-n-word-home-video\/\" title=\"Louisiana Judge Resigns over N-Word Home Video\">unpaid leave earlier<\/a> \u200bthis year after it \u2062was revealed that his security clearance \u200bwas revoked and the matter turned\u2062 over to the FBI for investigation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Your national security eligibility, including your\u2063 Top Secret security clearance, is \u2062suspended pending an ongoing\u200b investigation,&#8221; the letter states. Malley\u2062 was required at\u200b the time to hand over \u200dhis \u200dState Department identification badge, all government-issued \u2063credentials, and his diplomatic passport.<\/p>\n<p>The State Department did not respond to <em>Washington Free Beacon<\/em> requests for comment\u200d regarding the authenticity of the document,\u200b but former U.S. officials have indicated the letter is\u200d real, prompting further questions about whether Malley was truthful when he told\u200d reporters \u200cin late June\u200b that he had &#8220;not been provided any further information&#8221; about his suspension.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The letter looks authentic to me,&#8221; Gabriel Noronha, a former \u2062State Department adviser on Iran, wrote on X, formerly Twitter. The document &#8220;indicates Malley also lied about not knowing why his clearance was pulled.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Richard Goldberg, a former White\u2064 House National Security Council member who worked on Iran issues, also raised questions about how the internal State Department document made its way to an Iranian state-controlled mouthpiece.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The <em>Tehran Times<\/em> knows more about Rob Malley than the\u2063 <em>New York Times<\/em>,&#8221; Goldberg wrote on X. &#8220;This is\u2063 insane.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>of electronic devices.
