The boyfriend had not been named in any statements.<\/p>\n<p>Upon arriving, Cail\u2019s boyfriend found her on the floor and,\u2064 with the help of a friend, took her \u2063to the Myrah Keating-Smith Clinic, \u200bwhere CPR was administered. However, Cail eventually \u201csuccumbed to her ailment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One of\u2064 Cail\u2019s friends spoke to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wmur.com\/article\/new-hampshire-woman-death-us-virgin-islands-under-investigation\/43073512#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WMUR-TV<\/a> and had nothing but fond words and\u2062 memories of the swimmer, who\u200b was from Claremont, New Hampshire.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cShe was \u2064just she was she was a very beautiful\u200d person,\u201d the friend told the\u200c outlet. \u201cShe had a huge heart. She was really loving and \u2064kind and well-loved and popular on \u200cthe island, \u200band everybody knows her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEveryone from the, you know, older generational, local families to the younger people, everybody loved her,\u201d the friend added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to swimming news site <a href=\"https:\/\/swimswam.com\/1997-pan-pacs-gold-medalist-jamie-cail-42-dies-in-us-virgin-islands\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SwimSwam<\/a>, Cail was a <strong>gold medalist<\/strong> in the 1997 Pan Pacific Championships where her\u2063 team won the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/opinion-dont-let-the-actions-of-a-few-ruin-your-olympic-experience\/\" title=\"OPINION: Don\u2019t Let The Actions Of A Few Ruin Your Olympic Experience\">800-meter free<\/a> \u2063relay when she was still a teenager.<\/p>\n<p>USA Swimming\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usaswimming.org\/docs\/default-source\/eventsdocuments\/rosters\/pan-pacs\/1997-pan-pacific-championships-roster.pdf?sfvrsn=e1d72632_4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">archived \u200brosters<\/a> shows a Jamie \u201cCall\u201d \u200con the roster for that\u2062 event in 1997, probably a \u2062spelling error.<\/p>\n<p>SwimSwam \u200calso noted that Cail won a silver medal at the 1998-1999 FINA Swimming World Cup in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/uprising-brazil-national-congress-seized-riot-officer-ripped-horse-dogpiled\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brazil<\/a> in the\u200c 800-meter free \u2063as a member \u2062of the United States Swimming National B Team.<\/p>\n<p>One user on X, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-new-acting-attorney-general-jeff-rosen-recently-wrote-an-essay-on-foreign-influence-in-us-elections-this-tells-us-a-little-about-his-knowledge-of-whats-going-on-today\/\" title=\"The New Acting Attorney General Jeff Rosen Recently Wrote an Essay on Foreign Influence in US Elections \u2013 This Tells Us A Little About His Knowledge of What\u2019s Going On Today\">social media platform<\/a> formerly known as Twitter, claimed in a now-deleted tweet to be \u2062a former teammate and classmate with Cail and lauded her work ethic, among other things.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cVery sad to hear that my hs friend and teammate, Jamie Cail (in the middle with\u200d the Bolles suit), has passed away,\u201d\u2064 wrote Jooyoung Lee, now \u2062a sociologist at the <a href=\"https:\/\/schoolofcities.utoronto.ca\/people\/jooyoung-lee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University \u200bof Toronto<\/a>. \u201cJamie had an unmatched work ethic.
