Opinion polls show<span data-qa-component=\"highlight-text\"> \u200d Trump <\/span>leading \u2063his rivals by a wide margin.<\/p>\n<p>Chutkan&#8217;s decision means that<span data-qa-component=\"highlight-text\"> Trump <\/span>will likely have to stand trial in\u2064 at least three separate \u2062criminal \u200ccases while he is campaigning for\u2062 the party&#8217;s \u200dnomination\u2062 to\u2064 take on Democratic President \u200cJoe\u200c Biden in the November 2024 election. A trial date in a\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/donald-trump-indicted-three-things-the-georgia-indictment-reveals-about-former-presidents-future\/\" title=\"Georgia indictment reveals key insights into Donald Trump's future.\">fourth criminal case<\/a>\u2063 has not yet been set.<\/p>\n<p>He is also \u2062a defendant \u200cin three civil trials \u200bscheduled\u2063 to take \u2063place over the coming six months.<\/p>\n<h3>Legal Battles Ahead<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>New York \u2063Trial:<\/strong> <span data-qa-component=\"highlight-text\">Trump <\/span>is scheduled to stand trial in New\u2064 York\u200b on March 25 on state charges of concealing a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/marjorie-taylor-greene-calls-likely-second-federal-trump-indictment-election-meddling\/\" title=\"Marjorie Taylor Greene labels potential second Trump indictment as 'election meddling'.\">hush \u2062money payment<\/a> to a porn\u200c star. Chutkan said she \u2064would consult with\u200d the judge\u200b in that case to work out any potential scheduling conflicts.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Florida Trial:<\/strong> A third trial is scheduled for May\u2064 20, 2024 \u200don \u200cfederal charges in Florida, alleging that<span data-qa-component=\"highlight-text\"> \u200d Trump <\/span>illegally retained classified records after leaving the White \u200bHouse and tried to obstruct\u200d justice.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Georgia Trial:<\/strong> A trial date for the fourth criminal case in Georgia has not\u200c yet\u2064 been set. Fulton County prosecutor Fani Willis has requested a \u2064start of March 4, but Chutkan&#8217;s decision \u2062means that timeline will \u2064likely \u2064shift.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-qa-component=\"highlight-text\">Trump <\/span>did not\u200c attend Monday&#8217;s hearing. He has previously\u200b lashed out at Chutkan,\u200b saying,\u2062 without evidence, that\u2064 she is biased against him. Chutkan has warned\u200c that<span data-qa-component=\"highlight-text\"> Trump \u200b <\/span>should <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-jan-6-trial-set-for-eve-of-super-tuesday\/\" title=\"Trump's Jan. 6 trial scheduled on Super Tuesday's eve.\">stop posting inflammatory statements online<\/a> about\u200d witnesses or \u2064others involved in\u200c the case.<\/p>\n<p><span data-qa-component=\"highlight-text\">Trump <\/span>has portrayed all four criminal prosecutions as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/weaponization-of-government-panel-says-ftc-orchestrated-aggressive-campaign-to-harass-twitter\/\" title=\"Weaponization of Government Panel Says FTC Orchestrated \u2018Aggressive Campaign to Harass Twitter\u2019\">politically motivated attempts<\/a> to stop him from returning to power.<\/p>\n<p>He has pleaded not guilty in three of those cases, and is due in Georgia on \u200dSept. 6 to enter \u2062a plea \u200din that case, \u200baccording to a court filing on Monday. That case also stemming from his efforts to overturn his 2020 defeat.<\/p>\n<p>One\u2064 of his 18 \u2062co-defendants in Georgia, his \u2062former White\u2063 House \u200dchief of staff Mark Meadows, is pressing to move his trial to federal court, where \u2064he might face a more \u200dsympathetic jury.<\/p>\n<p>In \u200dWashington, <span data-qa-component=\"highlight-text\">Trump <\/span>&#8216;s attorneys say \u200cthey need time to sort through the government&#8217;s evidence, which totals \u200cabout 12.8 million pages.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This \u2064man\u2019s\u200b liberty\u2064 and life is at stake and he deserves \u200dan adequate representation,&#8221; attorney John Lauro said.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors say \u200cmuch of the evidence consists of public \u200cmaterials, such as<span data-qa-component=\"highlight-text\"> Trump <\/span>&#8216;s statements and congressional records. \u2062They said \u2062on Monday that \u200bthey have handed most of\u200b it over.<\/p>\n<p>Chutkan said<span data-qa-component=\"highlight-text\"> Trump <\/span>&#8216;s legal team should have already gotten a\u2064 good start. \u200c&#8221;Mr.<span data-qa-component=\"highlight-text\"> Trump <\/span>\u2019s counsel has \u200dknown\u200b this was coming\u200b for some \u200dtime,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>(Reporting by\u2062 Sarah N.
