A \u2063decision \u2063will be made after four weeks, following a re-evaluation of the COVID-19 situation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Please understand \u200bthat\u200b these changes are not made lightly, and\u2062 we acknowledge that a return to masking may be \u200cupsetting \u2062for some\u200b of our \u200bcaregivers,&#8221; UMass Memorial reported.<\/p>\n<div class=\"shortcode\">\n<div class=\"lazyload-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"lazyload-placeholder\"><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<h2>United Health Services \u200bin New\u200d York<\/h2>\n<p>United Health Services in \u2062Binghamton, New York, has also \u2062announced the reinstatement of mask requirements for patients, visitors,\u2062 staff,\u200b and doctors.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Due to an increase in COVID-19\u2062 cases, masks are once again mandatory in all \u2062clinical areas at UHS Wilson Medical\u200b Center, UHS Binghamton General Hospital, \u200dUHS Chenango Memorial Hospital, and UHS Delaware \u2063Valley Hospital,\u2062 as\u200d well as primary and specialty\u2062 care \u200dsites,&#8221; stated United Health Services on its website.<\/p>\n<p>The\u2062 policy,\u200b effective immediately,\u200c applies to \u200call patients,\u2063 visitors, \u2063employees, medical staff, volunteers, \u200cstudents, and\u2063 vendors. Masks\u200b must\u2062 be worn at nurses&#8217; stations,\u2063 conference \u200drooms, \u2063and\u200c all areas\u2063 where\u200d patients register, \u200dwait, \u200creceive testing, or\u200c care.<\/p>\n<p>Masks are\u200b also required in common spaces\u2063 such as hospital \u2064lobbies, hallways, stairwells,\u2063 cafeterias, \u200band \u200dpatient \u2064care units.<\/p>\n<h2>Auburn\u200b Community Hospital in New York<\/h2>\n<p>Auburn Community Hospital in Upstate New York has\u200d announced the reinstatement of mask requirements on-site,\u200c just \u2063a month after the previous\u200b mandate ended.<\/p>\n<p>The\u200b mask mandate applies to patients, staff, and visitors, according to a statement\u2062 posted on the hospital&#8217;s website.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Face coverings are mandatory inside our facilities, regardless of your \u200bimmunization status,&#8221; the hospital emphasized. &#8220;If you\u200b do not have a\u2064 mask or \u2062yours is deemed \u2064inappropriate, one will\u2063 be provided to you. Masks\u200c must be worn at all \u200ctimes and cover both your nose and\u200c mouth.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In addition to masking, \u2062the\u2062 hospital has implemented a policy\u200c allowing hospitalized COVID-19\u2063 patients to have only one visitor at a\u200c time, who\u200c must \u2064also\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/these-hospitals-across-the-us-are-bringing-back-mask-mandates\/\" title=\"US hospitals reinstate mask mandates.\">wear full personal protective equipment<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Kaiser \u200dPermanente in Northern \u2064California<\/h2>\n<p>A Kaiser Permanente location in Santa Rosa, California, has announced the \u2062reinstatement of mask\u200b requirements due to \u200ca rise in COVID-19 cases. However,\u2063 it clarified \u2063that the\u200d mandate only applies to staff and \u200dphysicians, not visitors and\u2064 patients.<\/p>\n<p>Kaiser\u2063 informed \u200ca \u200blocal newspaper in Santa Rosa\u2062 that it is still &#8220;strongly encouraging masks for patients, members, and visitors in the hospital and\u200b medical offices in\u2063 the Santa Rosa Service \u200dArea in \u200dresponse to this latest increase in\u200d COVID-19 cases.&#8221; However, face coverings are not required \u200dfor those individuals.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our\u2063 intent was to communicate \u200dthat as of Tuesday, we have expanded the masking requirement for our employees and physicians\u200c to medical offices and clinic settings; we apologize for any confusion among Press Democrat readers,&#8221; \u2064stated the hospital in an updated statement.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Visitors,\u2062 patients, and members \u2064are strongly encouraged to \u200dalso wear masks \u200bin these\u200b settings,&#8221; it\u200b continued. &#8220;We have not changed our masking requirements\u2064 in the hospital, \u2064which have been in \u2062effect since April: employees and physicians are required to wear masks, and we \u2063ask visitors to wear masks when in<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>that they have re-implemented a mask mandate for all staff and physicians due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases.
