Ms. Willis has alleged that the defendants in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/feds-charge-7-chinese-nationals-over-plot-to-repatriate-u-s-resident-to-china\/\" title=\"Feds Charge 7 Chinese Nationals Over Plot to Repatriate U.S. Resident to China\">case sought<\/a> to use\u200d illegal means to overturn the 2020 election in the state.<\/p>\n<p>Others \u200ccharged in the case include several of \u200cPresident Trump&#8217;s allies,\u2062 including former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, \u200dattorney John Eastman, attorney Sidney Powell, former White House \u200dChief of Staff Mark\u2062 Meadows, attorney Kenneth Chesebro, former\u2062 DOJ official Jeffrey Clark,\u2063 and others.<\/p>\n<p>The defendants in the case will appear \u200cin the court at the\u200b following times:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>President Donald Trump: 9:30 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>Rudy Giuliani: \u200c9:45 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>John Eastman:\u200d 10:00 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>Sidney Powell: 10:15\u2064 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>Mark Meadows: 10:30 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>Cathy Latham: 10:45 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>Scott Hall: 11:00 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>Kenneth Chesebro: 11:15 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>Trevian Rutti: \u200b11:30 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>Harrison Floyd: 11:45 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>Jeffrey Clark: 1:00 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Stephen Lee: 1:15 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Jenna Ellis: \u200b1:30 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Shawn\u200c Still: 1:45\u2062 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Ray Smith: 2:00 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>David Schafer: 2:15 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Michael Roman: 2:30 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Bob Cheeley: 2:45 \u2064p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Misty Hampton: 3:00\u2064 p.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The \u2064defendants\u2062 are generally expected to plead not guilty to \u200bthe charges.<\/p>\n<p>Attorneys for the defendants argue that the \u200dcharges constitute a violation of their clients&#8217; rights to free speech, including the right\u200d of\u2062 their clients to challenge the legitimacy of the\u200c results of \u2062the 2020\u2063 election.<\/p>\n<p>While charges vary from defendant\u200c to defendant, each \u2064<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-and-others-indicted-in-georgia-to-be-arraigned-on-sept-6\/\" title=\"Trump and others indicted in Georgia to face arraignment on Sept. 6.\">person arraigned faces<\/a> a charge of\u200b violating the RICO Act, a type of bill traditionally\u200c used to\u2062 round up mobsters, gang leaders, cartel bosses,\u200c and other major criminal enterprises. \u200bIf convicted of the charge, it could \u2063carry a sentence \u2064of between five and 20 years in prison under Georgia law.<\/p>\n<p>President Trump is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-biden-could-face-federal-charges-related-to-prostitution-experts\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden Could Face Federal Charges Related To Prostitution: Experts\">facing additional charges<\/a> in three other cases: a case in Manhattan relates to hush money he\u200b allegedly paid\u2062 porn actress Stormy Daniels to \u200bcover up an \u200baffair, another relates to his alleged \u2064retention of classified documents, and \u200ca third alleges similarly to the \u200bGeorgia case that President Trump sought to\u2064 overturn the 2020 election.<\/p>\n<p>In these\u200d preceding cases, President Trump was \u2062afforded the right to avoid \u200ca mugshot photo in\u200c view \u200cof \u2062how widely photographed he is.<\/p>\n<p>However, Fulton\u200c County officials required him \u2064to pose for a mugshot during booking\u2014a photo that President Trump has since used to sell millions in merchandise to his supporters.<\/p>\n<p>President Trump&#8217;s appearance in Atlanta forced strict security measures, including the imposition of a\u2062 temporary lockdown in the\u2064 area.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Trump and others indicted in Fulton County, Georgia will face arraignment before the Fulton County Superior Court on Sept. 6.
