The company states that it seeks to\u200d attract and retain the best qualified individuals, and that all qualified applicants will be considered without regard to race.<\/p>\n<p>NASCAR has faced criticism in recent years for its\u200d perceived shift towards a more \u2062politically\u2062 correct stance. Last year, it issued an apology for featuring Texas&#8217;s Republican \u2064Governor Greg Abbott at one of its races.\u200d Additionally, the indefinite suspension of a driver for &#8220;liking&#8221; a meme related\u200b to George Floyd&#8217;s death has\u200b sparked calls for a boycott among some fans.<\/p>\n<p>It is worth noting that NASCAR is not the only\u2063 company to impose race-based requirements for career opportunities.
