The zealous prosecutors have many \u2062motives for torturing laws to hang them around the neck of the former president and GOP\u200c front-runner \u2064in\u2062 the middle of \u2064a campaign\u200b \u2014 a frivolous and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/if-democrats-criminalize-opposition-and-cripple-the-court-democracy-is-dead\/\" title=\"Democracy dies if Democrats criminalize opposition and weaken the court.\">vengeful prosecutorial effort pursued arguably<\/a> in violation of laws, norms, and\u200c core \u2062principles of \u2062justice.<\/p>\n<p>While turning the First and Sixth Amendments into dead letters, these cases also effectively criminalize\u200c the seeking of office of anyone who might hold unauthorized views, the\u200c Republican contesting \u2063of elections or questioning of election integrity, and such\u200d Republicans\u2019 legal defense.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can \u2064go to jail if you disagree with us, and\u200b particularly if you \u2063threaten our power and privilege,\u201d our\u2063 betters are saying through their chilling lawfare jihad. The point is that\u2062 if\u2062 Americans cannot be trusted to choose leaders within a narrow set of regime-approved bounds, the regime will have \u2063to force\u2064 them upon us by hook or by crook. Locking up the opposition \u200dhas always been a potential endgame \u200bfor the ruling class in its war on\u2064 wrongthink.<\/p>\n<p>Jan. 6, 2021, \u200dwas the \u200cbeginning of\u200b that \u200dendgame. It served as a pretext to accelerate the war, as\u200d predicted at\u200b the time. It was also used to justify treating rioters with the \u201cwrong\u201d views not as everyday Americans-turned-petty criminals \u2062in a \u200cpolitical protest that\u200c got out of hand, but as domestic terrorists.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2>Crippling the Court<\/h2>\n<p>The only thing that may stand in the way of Trump, or any other\u200c political dissenters threatened with contrived charges going\u200d forward, is the Supreme Court. This brings us to part two \u2063of \u2063the one-two punch: the Democrats\u2019 sustained attack on the \u200chighest\u2064 court in the land.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats have grown ever more\u2063 unhinged \u200babout the Supreme Court because it represents \u2063perhaps the last powerful American \u200binstitution they do not wholly control. \u201cBorking,\u201d the \u201chigh-tech lynching\u201d \u2064of Justice Clarence Thomas, and the caper against Justice Brett Kavanaugh normalized vicious \u200cpolitical attacks on non-leftist \u2064justices aimed at destroying them or, at minimum, cowing them\u200b into submission once seated.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>By extension, these assaults normalized vicious \u2064political attacks \u2062on the court itself. For if the justices themselves were deplorable and irredeemable, then so\u200d too was the \u200ccourt \u2014 a court now to\u2062 be\u200c treated with the same contempt\u200b as any other political institution.\u200b In reality, what the leftist\u2064 assailants objected to was that these \u200cjustices might not rule in accord\u200c with the left\u2019s wishes. The court, in short, was illegitimate \u2064if it was not leftist.<\/p>\n<p>The assault \u2064on the court \u200bescalated with the Dobbs leak, which imperiled its ability to function. The intent was not only to exert \u2062maximum political pressure on the justices to alter their ruling in accord with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/five-unorthodox-pro-life-bills-advancing-in-state-legislatures\/\" title=\"Five Unorthodox Pro-Life Bills Advancing In State Legislatures\">pro-abortion activists<\/a>, \u2062but \u200dto intimidate them into doing so under\u2063 threat of bodily harm. \u2064The left-wing mob\u2019s\u200c threatening conduct was abided by a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democrats-push-new-extreme-anti-police-agenda-after-rashida-tlaib-calls-for-no-more-policing\/\" title=\"Democrats Push New Extreme Anti-Police Agenda After Rashida Tlaib Calls For \u2018No More Policing\u2019\">law enforcement apparatus<\/a> that refused to arrest those who illegally agitated outside the justices\u2019 homes. Kavanaugh even faced an assassination\u200c attempt. The Dobbs leak reflected contempt for the rule of law, for the court as an institution, and for the American people whose rights the court exists\u2063 to protect.<\/p>\n<p>For months now, the left and its media\u2064 mouthpieces have been waging another assault on \u2064the court, this time by leveling phony\u2064 and hypocritical charges of ethics violations at \u200bthe court\u2019s \u200cmost exceptional jurist, Justice Clarence Thomas, and to a lesser degree his peers. These attacks \u200daim\u200d to further delegitimize the \u200dcourt and ramp up calls for members to recuse themselves, resign, or face future impeachment \u200dproceedings. They may even perhaps aim to soften the ground for \u200bnullification efforts.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Thomas will never waver in the face \u200dof the barrage\u200b of attacks on him. But what of his potentially more wobbly-kneed colleagues, bearing witness to the\u200c ever-growing hysteria over their \u200copinions at times out of step with the ruling class?<\/p>\n<p>Imagine for \u200ba moment that \u2062one or \u200dseveral cases land at the Supreme Court \u2064that could result in criminal convictions for Donald Trump. One would expect\u200d pressure on the\u200d non-liberal judges to rule against the former president, recuse, or \u2062face literally or figuratively deathly consequences \u2014 more intense than anything ever\u200b seen \u2063in our lifetime. The threats to \u200cpack the court, abolish it, or\u2064 otherwise \u200dneuter its conservatives will grow exponentially. Surrender\u200d to the mob, practically every power center \u200din \u2064the land will demand, \u2064or else.<\/p>\n<p>Will the justices be \u201cred-pilled\u201d in\u2062 the face\u2062 of these efforts \u2014 ever \u200dmore determined to hew to \u2062the\u2062 Constitution in\u2062 their jurisprudence? Or will\u200d they crumble under pressure?<\/p>\n<p>Democrats no doubt see that the court\u200c is\u2064 the last backstop for justice \u2014 the last respite for \u2064the opposition to protect their rights from leftists aimed at seizing complete\u2062 control. Hence their withering\u2063 assault on it.<\/p>\n<p>The one-two punch \u200caims to\u200b knock out Trump. But at a\u200d deeper level, it is about ensuring de facto one-party rule at the point of a \u2064gun. Only if a critical mass of Americans \u201cknow what time it is\u201d will \u200dthere be \u2063any hope of combating this onslaught.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Democrats aim to solidify their long-term control over America by implementing two strategies: criminalizing political opposition and undermining the authority that could protect the opposition&#8217;s rights.
