Ted Macie. Macie told\u2062 The Epoch Times that he began \u201ckeeping an eye on&#8221; a \u2064<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/exclusive-whistleblower-who-disclosed-myocarditis-spike-in-military-after-covid-vaccine-rollout-goes-public\/\" title=\"Whistleblower Reveals Myocarditis Surge in Military Post COVID Vaccine\">defense medical database<\/a> when another whistleblower alerted\u2062 him to \u2064a rise in \u2064health-related incidents \u2063in the winter of 2021\/2022.<\/p>\n<p>The Defense Medical Epidemiology Database (DMED) is a depository \u200dof all diagnoses\u2014recorded \u200cusing International Classification of Diseases (ICD) codes\u2014when an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/u-s-vaccine-supplies-arrive-in-south-korea\/\" title=\"U.S. vaccine supplies arrive in South Korea\">active service member<\/a> is seen on- or off-base by a military or civilian provider. The database does not\u200c include any personally identifiable \u200dinformation of service members.<\/p>\n<p>In January, Lt. Macie and his wife traveled to Washington with\u2062 a report of the data he collected from DMED.<\/p>\n<p>It showed that diagnoses of myocarditis,\u2064 a form of heart inflammation, jumped 130.5 percent in 2021 when compared to \u200bthe average from the \u2064years 2016 \u200dto 2020. Myocarditis\u200c is a serious condition that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/health\/heart-inflammation-can-be-lethal-after-covid-19-vaccination-study-4900037\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">can lead<\/a> \u2063to death.<\/p>\n<p>All\u2062 four of the COVID-19 vaccines authorized in the United States can \u2063cause\u200d myocarditis, according to U.S.\u200c officials. COVID-19 can also \u2062cause \u200cmyocarditis, though some experts say the \u200cdata on that front is weaker.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. Defense \u2062Secretary Lloyd Austin mandated the \u200dvaccines in 2021,\u2063 a requirement that remained in place until Congress forced its withdrawal\u2063 in late 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2062data also \u200cshowed spikes in \u200cdiagnoses of \u200bpulmonary embolism \u2062(41.2 percent), blood \u200dclots in the lungs, ovarian dysfunction (38.2 percent), and &#8220;complications and \u2062ill-defined descriptions of heart \u200bdisease&#8221; (37.7 percent).<\/p>\n<h2>DMED Data<\/h2>\n<p>Lt. Macie downloaded the data almost a year after the Pentagon said \u200cit fixed a data corruption issue with the DMED.<\/p>\n<p>In 2022,\u200c other military whistleblowers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/article\/exclusive-pentagon-responds-to-dod-whistleblowers-claim-of-spiking-disease-rates-in-the-military-after-covid-vaccine-mandate-4247785\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> shocking spikes in disease rates after the introduction of the COVID-19 vaccine. But the Pentagon responded that those figures were not correct because some diagnoses in the years 2016\u200c to 2020 had not been counted, an issue stemming from &#8220;corrupt&#8221; data.<\/p>\n<p>After the Pentagon said\u200d the issue was corrected, Lt. Macie and others\u2014including First Lt. Mark Bashaw, a\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/drastic-increase-in-non-infectious-diseases-in-military-explained-as-data-glitch-whistleblower\/\" title=\"Drastic Increase in Non-Infectious Diseases in Military Explained as Data Glitch: Whistleblower\">preventive medicine officer<\/a> in the Army, Navy\u2064 Lt. \u2064Billy Mosley, Army Surgeon Lt. Col. Theresa \u200bLong, and Army doctor \u2062Maj. Samuel Sigoloff\u2014noticed \u200dthat there were \u2062still concerning signs of increases\u2063 in \u2062diagnoses, such as myocarditis and pulmonary embolism.<\/p>\n<p>Since\u200b word spread that Lt. \u2063Macie \u200cwas the only <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/navy-seals-told-theyre-undeployable-if-they-dont-get-a-covid-19-vaccine-lawyers\/\" title=\"Navy SEALs Told They\u2019re Undeployable If They Don\u2019t Get a COVID-19 Vaccine: Lawyers\">active-duty member<\/a> at his command who\u200d didn\u2019t receive the COVID-19 vaccine, and was actively suing the secretary of defense, Lt. Macie said people began to come\u2063 to him in confidence telling\u200c him about adverse reactions, which they were convinced were \u201cfrom the shot,\u201d he said. \u200b\u201cThese anecdotal, but compelling personal injuries, \u200dwere \u2062a\u200b motivator to get things on the right track.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Confirmation from \u200cthe Pentagon<\/h2>\n<p>After verifying Lt. Macie&#8217;s report with the Senate Subcommittee on Investigations, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.),\u2063 the\u200d top Republican on that panel, sent a letter (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.documentcloud.org\/documents\/23719955-johnson-letter-to-austin-on-dmed-data\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pdf<\/a>) to Mr. Austin in March asking the Pentagon\u2064 to confirm Lt.\u2062 Macie&#8217;s \u2062data.<\/p>\n<p>Lt. Macie had suspected the Pentagon would not respond, based on his experience of previous requests made within the department going unfulfilled.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the event our suspicions \u2064were correct, I kept additional data to reveal as soon as the data we brought [to Washington] was confirmed, or after being \u2063ignored for some time,\u201d \u2063he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMuch to my surprise,\u201d said Lt. Macie, the Pentagon, in a July reply (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.documentcloud.org\/documents\/23882933-sen-johnson-letter-to-pentagon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pdf<\/a>) to Mr. Johnson&#8217;s letter, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/us-military-confirms-myocarditis-spiked-after-covid-vaccine-introduction-5411759?utm_source=epochHG&#038;utm_campaign=CFP&#038;src_src=epochHG&#038;src_cmp=CFP\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">confirmed<\/a> \u2064 that \u200bhis\u200b data was accurate.<\/p>\n<p>In the \u200cPentagon&#8217;s response, Gilbert Cisneros Jr., undersecretary of defense \u2063for personnel and readiness, pointed to data on the rate of cases per 100,000 person-years, a way to measure risk across a certain period of time. \u2062For almost all \u200dthe conditions that showed an increase in cases in 2021, he stated, the new case rate was higher for service members with a prior\u200b COVID-19 infection than for those with a prior COVID-19 \u2063vaccination.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This suggests that \u2064it was more \u2062likely to\u200b be [COVID-19] infection \u200cand not COVID-19 vaccination that was the cause,&#8221; \u2062Mr.\u200c Cisneros \u2063stated.<\/p>\n<p>Lt. Macie said he plans to bring the \u2064additional data he kept &#8220;up my chain \u2062of command with \u2063the aim of a resolution and validation for injured service members, but I\u2019m not holding my \u2064breath.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Lt.\u200c Macie \u200chas also brought this new data to\u2062 the office of Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), hoping to get the attention \u2064of the House Armed \u200cServices Committee, a panel Mr. Gaetz sits on. Lt. Macie \u2064is not aware\u2064 of\u200b what Mr. Gaetz and his staff will do, but the lawmaker&#8217;s office acknowledged\u2064 in June that \u201cthey\u200c will take\u2062 a look,\u201d \u2062he said. \u200cThe Epoch Times\u200d has reached out to Mr. Gaetz&#8217;s office \u200dfor comment.<\/p>\n<h2>Rise in Accidents, Self-Harm<\/h2>\n<p>According to his research, \u2062health-related incidents\u2062 in 2021 \u2062rose substantially above the five-year average from \u20632016 to 2020. \u201cAs some may expect,\u201d he\u2063 said, \u201cinternal injuries like myocarditis (130 percent), tinnitus (42 percent), and cerebral infarction\u200b (stroke) (43.5 percent) are on the rise.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But it \u2064was Macie\u2019s wife who became curious, asking about other types of\u200b injuries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat\u200d about external cause morbidities, like burns, \u200baccidents, self-inflicted harm, and injuries that are not expected to be associated \u2062with the COVID shot?\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>With the new data he discovered,\u2063 the following incidents exhibited\u200b increases in 2021\u200b above the five-year average: exposure to forces \u2063of nature (773 \u200cpercent), water\u2063 transport accidents (7,400 percent), land transport vehicle \u2063(526 percent), suicide\u2062 attempts (33 percent),\u200b assault (828 percent), slipping, tripping, stumble and fall.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>information indicating that the military&#8217;s official numbers on vaccine adverse events are significantly underreported.
