Data collection for\u200c COVID-19 vaccines concluded on June\u200c 30, 2023,\u201d the V-safe <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20230821200440\/https:\/vsafe.cdc.gov\/covid\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a> reads.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Instead of displaying data collected from the mRNA vaccine, the CDC website\u200b redirects users to the Food and Drug Administration\u2019s (FDA) Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) website for\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fact-check-is-any-death-that-occurs-within-20-days-of-a-positive-covid-19-test-automatically-counted-as-a-covid-19-death\/\" title=\"FACT CHECK: Is Any Death That Occurs Within 20 Days Of A Positive COVID-19 Test Automatically Counted As A COVID-19 Death?\">adverse event reporting<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. David Gortler, a Brownstone\u200d Institute Fellow who formerly served\u2062 as a senior official and advisor for the\u2062 FDA, first\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/brownstone.org\/articles\/cdc-refusing-new-covid-vaccine-adverse-event-reports\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> the change in the CDC\u2019s website, questioning why the federal agency removed the data.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cDoes this mean\u2062 that the CDC believes that the mRNA Covid-19 injections are so safe, there is no need to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/cdc-removes-covid-vaccine-adverse-event-reports-from-website-report\/\" title=\"CDC reportedly removes COVID vaccine adverse event reports from website.\">monitor adverse event reports<\/a> any longer?\u201d \u2062he wrote. \u201cWhat is the argument against continued monitoring, especially since the V-safe website was already up and paid for?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Since \u2062mRNA injections hit the market in 2021,\u2062 Gortler\u200c cited the FDA\u2019s VAERS database that \u2062allegedly \u2063names the vaccines \u200bas the number one cause of more than \u20641.5 million adverse event reports, including heart \u200cattacks and cases of myocarditis and pericarditis\u2064 in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>Gortler also cited an FDA-funded study out of Harvard that states VAERS reports represent less than 1 percent of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/republican-gov-says-arkansas-at-pivotal-moment-in-our-race-against-covid-19\/\" title=\"Republican Gov Says Arkansas At Pivotal \u2018Moment In Our Race Against\u2019 COVID-19\">vaccine adverse events<\/a> \u200bthat actually occur.<\/p>\n<p>Before the CDC removed the database,\u2062 Gortler shared \u2064an image from the V-safe Covid Vaccine\u200d Adverse Health Impacts dashboard that stated \u2064over 6.4 million individuals \u2062were impacted out of 10.1 million users, including roughly 2 \u2064million who were \u201cunable to conduct normal activities of \u200ddaily living or needing medical care,\u201d Gortler wrote.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWill the CDC opine on the existing data or justify its halting\u2062 of collecting new\u200b safety data?\u201d he wrote. \u201cTo the best of my knowledge, stopping the collection of \u200bpublic health information doesn\u2019t have a clinical justification or \u200bscientific precedence \u2014 especially when it comes to an actively marketed product.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIn \u200dGeorge Orwell\u2019s \u200b1984, \u2063characters were told by The Party to \u2018reject the evidence of your eyes and ears.\u2019\u201d Gortler added. \u201cNow, the CDC isn\u2019t \u200beven allowing that evidence to be collected for viewing (and prospective rejecting). It\u2019s a terrible idea for any\u2063 product, let alone novel \u2062mRNA technologies.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Gortler\u2019s findings come\u200d amid rumors that Transportation Security Administration \u2064(TSA) managers were recently instructed that pandemic-era \u2064restrictions, including mask-wearing\u2062 for travelers and COVID-19 lockdowns, would return to the U.S. before 2024. But \u2064officials reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/fact-check-covid-lockdown-masks-tsa-445214096334\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> The Associated Press such reports were \u201cutterly false\u201d and that they never received such information.<\/p>\n<p>Still,\u200d President Joe Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/biden-to-request-more-funding-for-new-covid-vaccine-recommended-that-everybody-get-it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> last\u2064 week that he plans to\u200d ask Congress for additional \u2062funding for developing a new COVID-19 vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI signed off this morning on a proposal we \u2064have to present to the Congress a request for additional funding\u200d for a new vaccine that is necessary, that \u2063works,\u201d Biden, according to the Associated Press, adding, \u201cIt will likely be recommended that everybody get it no matter whether they\u2019ve gotten it before or not.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pfizer and Moderna are working on new vaccines to fight the latest variant \u200b\u2014 descended from omicron \u2014 as some scientists \u2062warn of rising COVID cases nationwide.\u2062 At the end\u200b of July, COVID hospitalizations were just over 9,000, but that\u2019s only a fraction of the admissions seen during the height of COVID and \u2062later surges\u200b of the delta and omicron variants, the AP reported. \u2062In\u2062 January 2022, during a surge from Omicron, an\u2063 estimated 150,000 people were in the hospital from the virus.<\/p>\n<p>The\u200d slight rise in \u200dCOVID cases \u2062has caused some businesses and universities to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/liberal-prof-cries-over-lack-of-mask-mandate-there-is-no-such-thing-as-a-personal-choice-in-a-pandemic\/\" title=\"Liberal Prof Cries Over Lack Of Mask Mandate: \u2018There Is No Such Thing As A Personal Choice In A Pandemic\u2019\">reinstate mask mandates<\/a>. Morris Brown College in Atlanta is bringing back a mask mandate despite having zero reported cases of COVID on campus.<\/p>\n<p>Lionsgate Films in California also temporarily reinstated mask mandates for some of\u200c its Santa Monica offices.\u200d The studio said it \u200bwould have a \u201cbuilding entry policy\u201d that requires employees \u201cto perform a daily self-screening prior to coming to the\u2063 office each day,\u201d and\u200c workers\u200c must also notify the company of any \u201cnew or worsening symptoms\u201d or if\u2062 they \u201ctraveled internationally in the last 10 days.\u201d Lionsgate\u2063 has since lifted \u200dthe mandate, saying it had contained the COVID spread.<\/p>\n<p><em>Zach Jewell contributed to this report.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The CDC&#8217;s V-safe website stopped collecting COVID-19 vaccine adverse events without much notice.
