While acknowledging that he would\u2062 have certified the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/what-is-going-on-minnesota-and-wisconsin-both-had-89-90-turnout-something-that-is-highly-unlikely\/\" title=\"What is Going On? Minnesota and Wisconsin BOTH had 89%-90% Turnout -- Something That Is Highly Unlikely\">election results<\/a> as well, Ramaswamy \u200dcriticized the way in which Pence handled the situation, stating that he missed a &#8220;historic opportunity&#8221; to &#8220;reunite the country.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>The \u200cImportance of a True National Consensus<\/h3>\n<p>When asked by host Chuck Todd if he believed Pence did the right thing by certifying the election results, Ramaswamy responded, &#8220;I would have done it very\u2062 differently. I think\u2062 that there was a historic opportunity that he missed,\u2062 to reunite this country in that window.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ramaswamy \u200bwent on to explain his perspective, emphasizing the \u200dtwo essential elements for a \u200bfunctioning democracy in\u2063 America: secure elections and a peaceful transfer\u200c of power. He believed that\u200b when these two elements come\u200c into conflict, it presents an opportunity for heroism.<\/p>\n<h3>A Different Approach to Reforms<\/h3>\n<p>If he were in Pence&#8217;s position, Ramaswamy\u200d stated that\u2062 he would\u2063 have pushed for voting process \u200dreforms\u200d through Congress before the certification decision.
