Post<\/a> revealed Sunday that in \u200cthe lead-up to the federal indictment of former\u2064 President Donald Trump \u2063on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/feds-arrest-pennsylvania-woman-accused-of-stealing-pelosis-laptop\/\" title=\"Feds Arrest Pennsylvania Woman Accused of Stealing Pelosi\u2019s Laptop\">charges related<\/a> to <a Special \u2064Counsel Jack Smith\u2019s team.<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, on March 31, nine weeks before Trump was indicted, a close aide of Special Counsel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-rages-jack-smith-proposes-trial-date-general-schedule-election-interference\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jack \u200dSmith<\/a>, Jay Bratt, had a meeting in the White House with the deputy chief \u2064of staff for the White House counsel\u2019s\u200c office\u2062 Caroline Saba,\u200d according\u200d to records obtained from\u2064 the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/white-house-staff-oblivious-guest-secretly-stayed-two-weeks-hunter-biden-plea-deal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">White House<\/a> visitor \u2063logs.<\/p>\n<p>Danielle \u200bRay, an FBI agent in the Washington field office, also joined \u200dthe meeting.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\"> counsel\u2019s \u2064office while part of an active investigation into \u2064President Biden\u2019s likely 2024 Republican opponent.\u201d <a 2021, during the time Trump\u2063 was\u2062 dealing with the\u200c National Archives investigation\u200b about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-gop-probing-whether-national-archives-conspired-with-democrats\/\" title=\"House GOP Probing Whether National Archives Conspired With Democrats\">presidential records stored<\/a> in Mar-a-Lago but\u200c before the investigation was formally opened.<\/p>\n<p>Then,\u2062 in June 2022, Bratt \u2062went to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/shocker-biden-admin-lied-white-houses-involvement-mar-lago-raid-legal-org-finds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mar-a-Lago<\/a> to inspect storage facilities \u2063at the property and talk to Trump personally.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/national-security\/2023\/03\/01\/fbi-dispute-trump-<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ny-times-maggie-haberman-attacks-president-trump-over-white-house-reporters-having-to-work-early-on-christmas-eve\/\" title=\"NY rel=&#8221;noopener&#8221;>Washington Post<\/a> reported in\u200c March that \u201cJay Bratt,\u2062 the prosecutor leading the department\u2019s counterespionage work,\u2062 advocated seeking a judge\u2019s\u2064 warrant\u2062 for an unannounced search at the property to quickly recover \u2064any sensitive documents still there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stanley\u200d Woodward,\u2063 the lawyer \u2062of Trump\u2019s valet, Walt Nauta, who was also investigated as part of the Mar-a-Lago\u200c case, said Bratt tried to\u2064 coerce him to help the\u2062 prosecution against Trump by floating\u200d an application he\u200d had \u2063made previously for a\u2064 judge\u2019s \u2063position.<\/p>\n<p>Woodward \u2062said Bratt indicated they might look more favorably at the application if he cooperated against Trump, as reported by The Post.<\/p>\n<p>According \u2063to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2023\/jun\/08\/lawyer-trump-valet-nauta-mar-a-lago-classified-documents-misconduct-allegation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Guardian<\/a>, Woodward stated that Bratt told him \u201che did not think\u200c that Woodward was a \u2018Trump guy\u2019 and that \u2018he would do the \u2063right\u2064 thing\u2019 before noting that he knew Woodward\u2064 had submitted an application to be a judge \u2063at the superior \u200bcourt in Washington DC that was currently pending.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p
