According to the agency, consumers using a standard fan could save up to $39.84\u2062 over\u200d the\u2062 lifespan of \u2063the\u200b appliance with these new\u200c measures. Considering that \u2063a ceiling fan \u200ctypically lasts for around six to 10 years, this could result in significant savings. It is estimated that around \u206485 million American households use at least one ceiling fan, with a quarter \u2064of them using four or more.<\/p>\n<p>Traditionally, \u2062ceiling fans have been seen as a cost-effective and convenient alternative to air conditioners. Granholm on August 24. Bice urged the DOE to withdraw the \u2063proposed rule entirely and criticized the agency&#8217;s broader efforts to regulate appliances like water heaters \u2063and gas stoves, considering them \u2062a significant overreach of the federal government.<\/p>\n<p>The ceiling fan regulations are part of the Biden administration&#8217;s pro-climate policy push.
