The\u2063 protest, \u2062organized by the group Leave Our Kids Alone, aimed to demand a\u2062 policy change that would ensure parents are informed if \u200btheir children identify as a gender other than their biological sex.<\/p>\n<p>The demonstration\u2062 quickly \u2062turned chaotic \u200das parents and their allies clashed with \u200dcounter-protesters. Despite efforts by\u2063 the police to maintain order, scuffles \u200dbroke\u2064 out, leading to the arrests. According \u2062to KTLA-TV, the protesters were \u2063detained for engaging in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/rep-bush-sides-with-st-louis-inmate-rioters\/\" title=\"Rep. Bush sides with St. Louis inmate rioters\">violent behavior<\/a>,\u200c pushing \u2062officers, and \u200dthrowing objects.<\/p>\n<p>The parents&#8217; group, led by Ben Richards, founder of SoCal\u200b Parent Advocates, believes that there is\u2062 a\u200c radical indoctrination\u2062 system infiltrating K-12\u2062 education. They argue that explicit\u200b and inappropriate material is being introduced into schools without parental consent.
