He was \u200dallowed\u200b to <a title=\"Kyle Rittenhouse sued again.\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/kyle-rittenhouse-faces-new-lawsuit\/\">walk \u200dpast \u2064law enforcement officers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a title=\"BREAKING: President Trump Gives Pardons to 73 Individuals and Commutes Another 70 Sentences \u2013 Steve Bannon Is Included\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-president-trump-gives-pardons-to-73-individuals-and-commutes-another-70-sentences-steve-bannon-is-included\/\">civil action<\/a> alleged Mr. \u2062Rosenbaum was deprived of his rights, including his right of due process.<\/p>\n<p>Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth, former Kenosha Police \u2063Chief Daniel Miskinis,\u200d and the West Allis Police\u2062 Department \u2064are among\u200d the other defendants named by the estate.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I\u2019m being sued again for defending my life,&#8221; Mr. Rittenhouse\u200d said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The other defendants did \u2063not respond to requests\u2062 for comment or could not be \u200creached.<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; max-width: 1200px;\">\n<figure class=\"alignnone\" style=\"width: 693px; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\"><figcaption>Joseph Rosenbaum in an undated photograph. (Funeral costs for JoJo Rosenbaum\/GoFundMe)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<h2>First Shot<\/h2>\n<p>Mr. Rittenhouse shot \u200dthree men in Kenosha on Aug. 25, \u20632020. \u200bMr. Rosenbaum, 36, was advancing on Mr. \u200dRittenhouse when he was shot, according to \u200bvideo \u2064footage \u2064and witness testimony.<\/p>\n<p>The wounds Mr. \u200bRosenbaum \u2063suffered, along with \u200dvideo evidence, showed\u2062 Mr. Rosenbaum&#8217;s left hand \u200cwas \u201cin close proximity or in contact with the end\u201d of Rittenhouse\u2019s rifle, Dr. Doug Kelley, a \u2064pathologist, \u200dtestified during Mr.\u2063 Rittenhouse&#8217;s criminal trial,\u200c which ended in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/kyle-rittenhouse-acquitted-on-all-counts-4113953\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a\u2064 full acquittal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Richard McGinnis, a witness to \u200cwhat transpired, said that Mr. Rosenbaum\u2064 was advancing towards Mr. Rittenhouse. After the latter\u200c started running away, Mr. Rosenbaum chased him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI saw Mr. Rittenhouse\u2063 turn around and saw Mr. Rosenbaum lunging for the front portion of\u2064 the rifle,&#8221; Mr. McGinnis testified. That&#8217;s when Mr. Rittenhouse opened fire.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Rosenbaum &#8220;ambushed me,&#8221; Mr. Rittenhouse said during the trial. &#8220;I was cornered,&#8221; \u200bhe added later.<\/p>\n<p>Mark Richards, \u2063a lawyer who\u2063 represented Mr. Rittenhouse, said during the \u200ctrial that Mr. Rittenhouse feared \u2062for his life. He also\u2063 said: \u201cRosenbaum \u2064was a bad man. He\u2062 was a \u200drioter. \u200dAnd my client had to \u200cdeal with him alone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Rittenhouse said: \u201cI didn\u2019t \u200cdo anything wrong. I defended myself.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>Earlier Cases<\/h2>\n<p>Gaige Grosskreutz, who survived being shot by Mr. \u2063Rittenhouse, \u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/kyle-rittenhouse-hit-with-lawsuit-from-man-he-shot-during-2020-riots-5075880\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sued Mr. Rittenhouse<\/a> previously. That suit contains many of the same \u2064allegations as the \u2062new suit.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Grosskreutz &#8220;must live \u2062with the physical and <a title=\"Guy Who Got His Bicep Shot Off by Kyle Rittenhouse Files Lawsuit Against Him, Wisconsin Police, and Officials\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/guy-who-got-his-bicep-shot-off-by-kyle-rittenhouse-files-lawsuit-against-him-wisconsin-police-and-officials\/\">emotional wounds inflicted<\/a> by Defendant Rittenhouse,&#8221; the \u2063suit states, accusing Mr. Rittenhouse and <a title=\"Public Radio \u201cReporter\u201d Arrested For Firebombing Police Cars\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/public-radio-reporter-arrested-for-firebombing-police-cars\/\">law enforcement officials<\/a> \u200dof depriving the rights of the plaintiff.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Grosskreutz testified during\u2064 the trial that he pointed a gun at Mr. \u2062Rittenhouse before Mr. Rittenhouse shot him, \u2062though he later claimed he had his \u200dhands in the air.<\/p>\n<p>The suit, in May, was consolidated with a\u200d case brought by John Huber, the father of the third man Mr. Rittenhouse shot.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Huber alleged in a civil action that Mr. Rittenhouse and other defendants violated \u2063federal and state\u200d law with their actions, leading to\u200b the death of \u2063his son\u2062 Anthony\u200d Huber.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Rittenhouse shot Mr. Huber.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kyle Rittenhouse faces a lawsuit accusing him of negligence for shooting a man during the 2020 Kenosha riots.
