Speaking\u2063 to reporters during his vacation in Lake Tahoe, California, the president emphasized the importance of this new vaccine.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI signed \u2064off this morning on a proposal we\u2064 have to present\u200c to the Congress a request for additional funding for a new vaccine that \u200cis necessary, that works,\u201d \u200dBiden \u2063said, according to the\u200b Associated \u200bPress. He also mentioned that\u200c it\u2064 is likely to be recommended for everyone, regardless of their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/world-council-for-health-accuses-who-of-using-monkeypox-to-justify-human-rights-violations-with-experimental-vaccines\/\" title=\"World Council for Health Accuses WHO of Using Monkeypox to Justify \u201cHuman Rights Violations\u201d With Experimental Vaccines\">previous vaccination status<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Both Pfizer\u2063 and Moderna are currently working on new \u2062vaccines \u200cto combat the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/updated-covid-19-booster-shots-for-over-12s-expected-within-few-weeks-white-house-official\/\" title=\"Updated COVID-19 Booster Shots for Over-12s Expected Within Few Weeks: White House Official\">latest omicron variant<\/a>. As COVID cases continue to rise across the country, scientists are urging for swift \u2063action. In July, there were over 9,000 hospitalizations due to COVID, but this number pales in comparison to the\u200c peak\u200d of the pandemic and subsequent surges caused \u2062by the delta and omicron variants. In fact, during the omicron surge\u200d in January 2022, an estimated 150,000 people were hospitalized.<\/p>\n<p>The\u200c recent increase in COVID cases has prompted some businesses and\u200b universities to reinstate\u2062 mask mandates. For instance, Morris Brown College in\u200d Atlanta has reintroduced a mask mandate, despite not having any reported cases\u2064 of COVID on campus.\u2064 Similarly, Lionsgate film studio in California \u2063is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-art-gallery-owner-blasts-new-york-city-mask-mandate-its-not-just-a-mask\/\" title=\"WATCH: Art Gallery Owner Blasts New York City Mask Mandate: \u2018It\u2019s Not Just A Mask\u2019\">implementing mask mandates<\/a> for certain offices in Santa Monica. However, these updated shots from Pfizer, Moderna, and Novavax still need to be approved by the FDA and recommended by the CDC.<\/p>\n<p>According to a Biden administration official, &#8220;Vaccination is going to continue to be key\u200c this year because immunity wanes and because the COVID-19 virus continues to change.
