The \u200bdistrict in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox5dc.com\/news\/mcps-revises-policy-on-lgbtq-friendly-books.amp\"><span>January<\/span><\/a>  put \u2063in \u200dplace \u200bthe policy but reversed course in March.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8220;The Court concludes the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/federal-court-says-parents-have-no-right-to-opt-kids-out-of-lgbt-curriculum\/\" title=\"Federal court rules parents cannot opt children out of LGBT curriculum.\">plaintiffs\u2019 asserted due process<\/a> right to direct their children\u2019s upbringing by opting out of a public-school\u2063 curriculum that\u200c conflicts with their religious views is not a \u200dfundamental right,&#8221; <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/becketnewsite.s3.amazonaws.com\/20230824190313\/2023-08-24-59-Opinion-and-Order.pdf\"><span>ruled<\/span><\/a><span>  Judge Deborah L. Boardman, a Biden appointee to the U.S. District Court\u2063 for the District of Maryland.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Democrats at the federal and state\u200b level \u2063have pushed an LGBT agenda in schools \u2063since \u200dPresident Joe Biden took\u200b office.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In\u2064 July 2022,\u200b Biden\u2019s Department of Education proposed <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/sexual-violence-prevention-groups-want-biological-men-in-female-locker-rooms\/\"><span>changes<\/span><\/a>  \u200d to\u2063 the interpretation of Title IX of the Civil Rights Act that would <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/school-lockdown-proponents-face-few-consequences-for-disastrous-policies\/\" title=\"School Lockdown Proponents Face Few Consequences for Disastrous Policies\">compel schools<\/a>\u200c to give transgender students the ability to use bathrooms and locker rooms that \u200cconform with their gender identity, rather than their biological sex.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Multiple <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/latest-news\/california-superintendent-threatens-school-board-over-proposal-to-tell-parents-about-trans-students\/\"><span>blue states<\/span><\/a>  have sued <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/calif-gov-newsom-announces-2b-plan-to-reopen-schools-by-spring\/\" title=\"Calif. Gov. Newsom announces B plan to reopen schools by spring\">school districts<\/a> that require teachers to notify parents of changes in their children\u2019s gender identity or sexual orientation. New Jersey attorney general <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/democrats\/new-jerseys-dem-ag-sues-three-school-districts-over-parental-rights-policies\/\"><span>Matthew Platkin<\/span><\/a>  \u200csued three school districts in the\u200d state that voted to enact those\u200b rules.\u2063 Phil Murphy, the state\u2019s Democratic governor, called \u2062taking away such\u2062 policies &#8220;the American way.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LGBT curriculum. However, the court denied their request, stating that the parents do not possess the authority to opt their kids out of these classes. The lawsuit was filed against Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland.
