On August 26, they\u2062 will face off against the Needville Little League all-star\u200d team from \u200bTexas in a\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/el-segundo-to-play-in-little-league-world-series-u-s-championship-game\/\" title=\"El Segundo to compete in LLWS U.S. Championship Game.\">highly anticipated \u200drematch<\/a>. \u2062Needville was the team that knocked El Segundo into the elimination bracket with \u200ba 3-1 victory on\u200c August 21.<\/p>\n<p>Despite\u200c the setback, \u200dEl Segundo\u2063 fought their\u2064 way\u200c back, winning three games in \u2063three days to secure their spot\u200c in the U.S. championship\u200b game. Their most recent victory came in a \u2062thrilling \u200c2-1 win over the Northeast Seattle Little\u2064 League all-star team on August 24.<\/p>\n<p>Needville, on the other hand, has\u2064 been on a \u200dwinning streak,\u200d triumphing in 14\u2063 consecutive games. They secured their \u2062spot in the U.S. championship game with a 1-0 victory over Northeast \u2064Seattle on August 23. However, they bounced back with a 6-2 victory over the Sweeny Little League \u200band a\u2063 dominant 19-0 win against Hallettsville, which ended after three innings due to\u200c the run rule.<\/p>\n<p>In the tournament&#8217;s final game,\u2064 Needville defeated Hallettsville 1-0 to claim \u200bthe championship title.<\/p>\n<p>El Segundo has also had an impressive run, with a record of 18-2 in five tournaments. Their only other loss came in the opening game of the Southern California State Tournament, where they were defeated 4-3 by the all-star team \u200cfrom the Sherman Oaks Little League. However, they redeemed themselves with a 3-2 victory in the rematch later that day.<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s\u2062 U.S. championship game will mark a significant milestone \u2062for Los Angeles County, as it is the first time since 1994 that a team from the county has reached \u2063this stage. McRoberts\u2064 also contributed offensively, driving \u2062in a run with \u200da single in the \u2064first inning.<\/p>\n<p>El\u200d Segundo&#8217;s \u200djourney in the Little League World Series has been filled with excitement and determination.
