The article, released by \u2064British newspaper PinkNews, claimed that Gaines was linked to a \u200bbomb threat at a California library\u2063 due to her \u2063alleged anti-trans \u2062harassment on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/why-this-average-american-is-voting-for-donald-trump\/\" title=\"Why This Average American Is Voting for Donald Trump\">social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Gaines had shared a video from a meeting of the Yolo County chapter of Moms for Liberty at\u2063 Mary L. Stephens Library in Davis. During the meeting, library staff repeatedly interrupted, insisting that the \u200bgroup not misgender transgender athletes. Eventually, they \u200cwere asked to leave.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Threat of Bomb Threat and Allegations of Anti-LGBT Rhetoric<\/h3>\n<p>In her post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Gaines included the location and \u2064phone number of \u2064the library. As a result, the library allegedly received\u200b an anonymous bomb threat in a phone call that referenced anti-LGBT rhetoric. \u2064Subsequently,\u200b the library and a \u2064<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/are-public-schools-broken-or-are-the-defects-part-of-the-design\/\" title=\"Are Public Schools Broken, Or Are The Defects Part Of The Design?\">nearby <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/2020-was-the-brian-stelter-of-years\/\" title=\"2020 Was the Brian Stelter of Years\">elementary school<\/a><\/a> were evacuated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Gaines took to X once again to express her outrage, stating,\u200d &#8220;This is libel &#038; character assassination. You are the\u2062 only one inciting violence &#038; outrage by this \u2064post, but I understand that&#8217;s the goal. Did you\u200b not learn anything from the \u2063last time you were sued? Don&#8217;t worry about changing the article, it&#8217;s already been screenshotted. Lawyer up.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Community Notes Update \u2063and Lack of \u2063Evidence<\/h3>\n<p>X issued a community notes update\u200d to\u200c the tweet, clarifying that apart from the bomb\u200d threat occurring after Gaines&#8217; speech, no link exists between her and the incident. The update emphasized that Gaines \u200dhas never called for violence or \u200cmade any\u2062 remarks about the\u200d elementary school that\u2064 received the bomb\u200b threat.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The outlet claimed to have \u2064reached out to Gaines \u2064for comment but did not receive\u200c a response.
