It is the biggest oil pipeline from\u200d the Bakken shale oil basin and can transport up to 750,000 barrels of oil per day from North Dakota to\u200b Illinois.<\/p>\n<p>It has been the subject of a lengthy\u2063 court \u2063battle between Native American tribes and Dallas-based Energy \u2062Transfer.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2062tribes have\u2064 opposed the pipeline, saying\u200d they draw water from the lake for various purposes, including drinking, and consider the waters of the Missouri\u2063 River to be sacred.
