In my whole \u2064life, I didn\u2019t \u200cknow anything about indictments. And now I\u2019ve been indicted, like, four times,&#8221;\u2062 he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=fH6E_wkTlH4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> Newsmax.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Everything is just like one thing after the next. (Fulton County\u2064 Sheriff&#8217;s Office)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<h2>&#8216;Very Sad Day for Our Country&#8217;<\/h2>\n<p>Despite the <strong>&#8220;terrible experience&#8221;<\/strong> of being booked into jail, President\u2063 Trump insisted he\u2064 was treated \u2063&#8221;very nicely&#8221; during the booking process but still called it a &#8220;very sad experience&#8221; and a &#8220;very sad day\u2063 for our\u2062 country.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is a weaponized Justice Department,&#8221; \u2064he \u200dadded.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, President\u200c Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/trump-says-taking-mugshot-was-not-comfortable-feeling-when-done-nothing-wrong\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> Fox News Digital the booking process was &#8220;not a comfortable feeling.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They insisted on a \u200bmugshot and I agreed to do that,&#8221; he said. &#8220;This is the only time I\u2019ve \u2064ever taken a mugshot. It is not a comfortable feeling\u2014especially when you\u2019ve done nothing wrong.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Thursday marked the first time in U.S. history that a former president has had their mugshot taken.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/after-4-indictments-trump-has-first-mugshot-taken-in-fulton-county-5480277\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Online records<\/a> from the \u200bFulton County Sheriff\u2019s Office showed President \u2062Trump was booked on 13 charges after Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis indictment him and 18 others in relation to their \u200befforts to dispute the results\u200d of the 2020 election in the state.<\/p>\n<p>The charges against him include a violation of Georgia\u2019s Racketeer\u2062 Influenced\u2062 and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO Act), solicitation of violation of oath by a public officer, conspiracy to commit forgery in the first\u2063 degree, \u200dand conspiracy\u2063 to commit filing of false documents, among others.<\/p>\n<h2>Back \u2064on Twitter<\/h2>\n<p>After leaving\u200c the Sheriff&#8217;s Office, President Trump posted a\u2062 bold, \u2063defiant message on X, formerly \u200bknown as Twitter, after more than two years of inactivity on the platform.<\/p>\n<p>The post on X at 9:39 p.m. ET shows\u200b President \u200bTrump in the booking photo. The accompanying text to\u2062 the <a title=\"Trump returns to Twitter with a bold message.\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-back-on-twitter-with-a-defiant-message\/\">social media post includes<\/a> &#8220;MUG SHOT \u2014 AUGUST \u206224, \u200d2023,&#8221; &#8220;ELECTION INTERFERENCE,&#8221; &#8220;NEVER SURRENDER!&#8221; and &#8220;DONALDJTRUMP.COM.&#8221; It received 200,100 likes and 7.1 million views after just 24 minutes.<\/p>\n<h2>Co-Defendant Still in\u200d Jail<\/h2>\n<p>The <a title=\"Donald Trump indicted; cancels news conference on election fraud due to overwhelming evidence.\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/donald-trump-indicted-former-president-cancels-monday-news-conference-on-overwhelming-evidence-of-election-fraud\/\">latest indictment marks<\/a> the fourth brought against President \u200bTrump so far this year.
