issue to voters after cost of \u2062living and housing.<\/p>\n<p>Recent youth justice services <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ice-official-biden-administration-is-not-ending-family-detention-despite-white-house-claims\/\" title=\"ICE Official: Biden Administration Is \u2018Not Ending Family Detention\u2019 Despite White House Claims\">youth detention facilities<\/a> are so stretched that the state government is attempting \u200dto allow police watchhouses to be\u200b used\u200b to temporarily house youths engaging in criminal activity.<\/p>\n<p>This move requires the Queensland government to suspend the \u2062Human Rights Act, a situation that has drawn the ire of the Black Peoples Union.<\/p>\n<p>Two new youth detention centres are expected\u200c to be \u200copened \u200bin 2026 to deal with the influx of young criminals.<\/p>\n<p>The Epoch Times reached out \u200bto \u200dthe Queensland Minister \u200cof Youth Justice Dianne Farmer for\u2062 comment on the rally, but her office is yet to make a statement.<\/p>\n<h2>Government and Police Join Forces in Response\u2063 to the\u2063 Crisis<\/h2>\n<p>The protest coincided\u200d with the announcement of the establishment of \u200dthe Queensland Government&#8217;s Taskforce Guardian, a dedicated initiative aimed at combating youth crime.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative, \u200cwhich includes a collaboration between the Queensland Police Service\u200b (QPS) and youth justice workers, reflects the government&#8217;s\u2062 commitment to addressing the issue, the Palaszczuk government said.<\/p>\n<p>The task force pairs dedicated Queensland Police detectives with expert youth justice workers in a \u2062collaboration that facilitates a\u2063 more \u200ccomprehensive approach to\u2064 addressing the \u2064multifaceted challenges posed by youth crime.<\/p>\n<p>On the Taskforce\u2019s creation, Queensland Police Minister Mark Ryan\u2062 said it would build on the successful results of the &#8220;State Flying Squad and Youth Co-responder models.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>Other\u200b Initiatives to Combat Youth\u2064 Crime<\/h2>\n<p>The state government has several initiatives in place to help address the issue of youth crime.
