Former President Donald Trump, facing a 13-count indictment \u2062for racketeering \u2063due to his challenge of the\u2062 2020 election results in Georgia, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/trump-surrenders-to-authorities-in-atlanta-set-to-be-released-after-booking-5479475\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">surrendered<\/a> at the Fulton County jail.<\/p>\n<p>The booking process was expedited, with Trump&#8217;s\u200b height and \u200dweight \u200brecorded even before he\u200d entered the intake center. He expressed his disappointment in\u200c the justice\u200c system, stating that he and his\u200b supporters had done nothing wrong. Trump vowed to exercise his right to challenge what he believed \u200cto be a dishonest election.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2063prosecutor,\u200b Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, had \u2064given President Trump and the 18 co-defendants until noon on August 25th to surrender or \u2064face arrest. Supporters gathered outside the jail, \u2062holding signs and flags,\u200c while the #TrumpMugShot hashtag trended on social media. In his \u2062first post \u200bon X since January 8, 2021,\u200d Trump\u200c shared his mugshot with the \u200bdefiant message: &#8220;ELECTION INTERFERENCE. NEVER \u2062SURRENDER!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Unsurprisingly, President Trump&#8217;s campaign saw an opportunity to turn the mugshot into a fundraising tool. After his initial indictment in April, his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/after-4-indictments-trump-has-first-mugshot-taken-in-fulton-county\/\" title=\"Trump's first mugshot taken in Fulton County after 4 indictments.\">campaign started selling t-shirts featuring<\/a> a fake mugshot \u200cwith \u200cthe words &#8220;Not Guilty&#8221; underneath.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly,\u200c Trump&#8217;s \u2063poll numbers experienced a surge after the April indictment and have \u2064continued to rise. He maintains a comfortable lead in the GOP field for \u2063the \u200c2024 presidential\u200c candidacy, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-job-approval-is-underwater-in-all-but-four-states-poll\/\" title=\"Biden\u2019s Job Approval Is Underwater In All But Four States: Poll\">recent polls showing<\/a> him ahead by about 40 points.<\/p>\n<h2>13 Mugshots<\/h2>\n<p>Out of the 19 co-defendants, thirteen have already surrendered and\u2064 been released on bond. Some of them have even embraced their mugshots as a symbol of their fight.<\/p>\n<p>David Shafer, former chair of the Georgia Republican Party, proudly \u200bshared his \u200bsmiling mugshot on X, making it \u200chis profile picture.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"image-url\" alt=\"David Shafer's mugshot\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Good morning!\u200d #NewProfilePicture<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Attorney Jenna \u200bEllis also wore\u200c a smile in her mugshot,\u2062 which she also used as her X \u2064profile picture. She accompanied it with two bible verses, spreading a message \u2062of love \u2064and faith.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"image-url\" alt=\"Jenna Ellis's mugshot\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them\u200c that curse you, do good to them that hate\u2062 you, and pray for them that despitefully use you and persecute you,\u201d she quoted. \u201cBut he who\u200c trusts in the Lord, lovingkindness shall surround him. Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous ones; And \u200cshout for joy, all you\u2062 who are upright in heart.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Both Jenna Ellis and David Shafer\u2062 are crowdfunding their legal fees for the\u2064 Fulton County case.<\/p>\n<p>Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani couldn&#8217;t help but remark on\u2063 the irony \u200bof being \u200bcheered by inmates as he walked through the jail to have his mugshot\u2063 taken.\u2064 Having spent his\u200d career putting criminals behind bars as a U.S. Attorney, Giuliani joked about which tie to\u200b wear when asked about the requirement on \u200cWABC radio.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"image-url\" alt=\"Rudy\u200d Giuliani's mugshot\" \/>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>While the co-defendants are \u2062not allowed to communicate\u2062 with each other as part of their bond conditions, Giuliani criticized local\u200c officials for subjecting President Trump to the same process.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If\u2062 Trump was\u2063 going to run away, do you really think a $200,000 bond\u200d would stop him?&#8221;\u2063 Giuliani\u200c questioned. He suggested that the mugshot requirement was\u2062 purely political \u200dand aimed at tarnishing Trump&#8217;s reputation.<\/p>\n<p>Other co-defendants, including \u200battorneys John Eastman, Kenneth Chesebro, Ray\u2063 Smith, Sidney Powell, and former chief of staff Mark \u2062Meadows, have also surrendered and been released on bond.<\/p>\n<p>Harrison\u2064 Floyd, former vice president for the Black Conservative Federation, surrendered on August 24th but has not yet been released.
