Tim Burchett Calls for Answers on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena<\/h2>\n<p>On Monday, Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) released a <a href=\"https:\/\/burchett.house.gov\/sites\/evo-subsites\/burchett.house.gov\/files\/evo-media-document\/letter-to-ic-ig-re-uap-hearing.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">letter<\/a> directed to Thomas Monheim, the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community (IGIC), asking him to provide answers to several questions relating to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/ufo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena<\/a> (UAP).<\/p>\n<p>The letter \u2014 which \u200bwas signed by Burchett,\u2063 as well as five other representatives \u2014 came at\u200b the same time as\u2063 a <a href=\"https:\/\/burchett.house.gov\/media\/press-releases\/rep-burchett-launches-uap-caucus-leads-letter-intelligence-community-inspector\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">press release<\/a> establishing \u2063the Unidentified Anomalous Phenomenon \u2063Caucus\u2064 in the House of Representatives.<\/p>\n<p>During July\u2019s \u2063blockbuster hearing on UAP, whistleblower David Grusch \u201cdeclined to answer several questions in a public\u200b setting, stating \u2063that the \u200binformation requested was classified,\u201d \u200dand would require disclosure inside \u2063a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dem-civil-war-erupts-with-name-calling-leaks\/\" title=\"Dem Civil War Erupts With Name-Calling, Leaks\">sensitive compartmented information facility<\/a> (SCIF), the\u2063 letter to Monheim states.<\/p>\n<p>The letter \u200dcontinues, noting that\u2064 despite Grusch\u2019s \u200binability to provide the names of individuals with alleged direct knowledge \u200bof covert government UAP programs, such information \u200dwas provided \u2063to the Inspector General.<\/p>\n<p>Grusch alleged in\u200c his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/the-10-most-incredible-exchanges-from-the-house-uap-hearing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">testimony<\/a> \u200cthat he had spoken with approximately \u206440 individuals over the course \u2062of four years\u200b who shared information pertaining \u2064to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-uap-caucus-launched-members-send-letter-to-intel-community-inspector-general-seeking-answers\/\" title=\"UAP Caucus formed, members seek answers from Intel Community Inspector General.\">secret crash retrieval<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ufo-expert-set-to-testify-in-epic-house-hearing\/\" title=\"UFO expert to testify in major House hearing.\">reverse engineering programs<\/a> outside of Congressional oversight.<\/p>\n<p>In light of the \u200droadblocks to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/whistleblower-testifies-he-knows-exact-locations-of-ufos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">information access<\/a> these members \u2063of Congress have encountered, the representatives asked Monheim the following questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Which intelligence community\u200c members, positions, facilities, military bases, or other actors are involved \u2063with UAP crash retrieval programs, directly or indirectly?<\/li>\n<li>Which intelligence community members, positions, \u200bfacilities, \u200cmilitary bases, or \u200dother actors are involved with UAP reverse engineering programs, \u200ddirectly or indirectly?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">During the \u200cUAP hearing, David \u200dGrusch testified he could\u2062 not provide specific details about UAP crash retrieval programs or reverse engineering programs, \u2064but said the Intelligence Community Inspector General could. \u2063So my colleagues and I wrote to him to ask for details. \u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Y8EuXOZMOJ\">pic.twitter.com\/Y8EuXOZMOJ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Rep. Tim \u2063Burchett (@RepTimBurchett) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepTimBurchett\/status\/1694003651562365051?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 22, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The congressmembers provided Monheim with\u2062 a deadline of September 15 to answer their questions, and if such material is classified, \u201cwe request access to this information in a secure setting no later than September 26.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Wire reached out to Monheim\u2019s office for comment.<\/p>\n<p>When asked why it was decided to send this letter now, Burchett told The \u200cDaily Wire, \u201cI\u2019m just fed up with the runaround from the war pimps at the Pentagon, the people \u2063in Congress, and I want to get to the \u2062bottom of this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE\u200d DAILY WIRE APP<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Following July\u2019s\u200b hearing, Burchett \u2014 as well as \u2062Reps. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), Matt Gaetz (R-FL), and Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) \u2014 co-signed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/burchett-more-witnesses-have-come-forward-since-uap-hearing-select-committee-with-subpoena-authority-requested\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a letter<\/a> to Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) \u2062asking for a \u200bSelect\u2062 Committee \u201coutside the jurisdiction of any standing committee\u201d and \u201cwith subpoena authority.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A Select\u2062 Committee has not been publicly established as of this reporting,\u2062 and McCarthy\u2019s office has not responded to multiple requests for comment regarding such a committee.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Monday, Rep.
