This means that transgender individuals cannot use facilities that align with their gender identity.<\/p>\n<p>The rules also state that institutions must establish \u2063a disciplinary policy to address any personnel who violate\u200d these regulations. The disciplinary actions may \u2063include verbal warnings, written reprimands, suspension without pay, and termination. By April 1, the president of each college system \u2062institution must submit a &#8220;Safety in Private Spaces Act Compliance Certification&#8221; form to\u2062 the \u2063education department, confirming their adherence to the rules.<\/p>\n<p>These regulations were established as a result\u2064 of \u200cHouse Bill 1521 (HB 1521), signed into law by Republican Governor Ron DeSantis in May.
