The \u200ccourt had recently issued\u200b an order preventing the \u2063city from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/venice-beach-to-clean-up-homeless-camps-l-a-city-council-launches-6-week-plan\/\" title=\"Venice Beach to clean up homeless camps, L.A. City Council launches 6-week plan\">clearing homeless encampments<\/a>, much to the dismay \u2064of the mayor and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/reflections-on-crown-heights-30-years-later\/\" title=\"Reflections on Crown Heights, 30 Years Later\">large crowd gathered<\/a> in support.<\/p>\n<p>Breed, who leads a city grappling with a severe homelessness \u200dcrisis, highlighted the city&#8217;s ongoing efforts to assist the homeless population. However, she \u2064firmly stated that the &#8220;homeless coalition&#8221;\u200d was holding the city &#8220;hostage.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;The homeless coalition has held San\u200c Francisco hostage for \u2062decades. It is \u2063time for their reign to end,&#8221; Breed declared.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The mayor also emphasized \u2064the inhumane conditions \u2063within the encampments, with used\u200c needles, rotting food, \u200dand <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/san-francisco-mayor-slams-homeless-coalition-after-court-blocks-ability-to-clear-homeless-encampments\/\" title=\"SF mayor criticizes 'homeless coalition' as court halts homeless encampment removal.\">human waste scattered<\/a> throughout.
