the \u2062Justice\u200c Department\u2062 said.<\/p>\n<p>The Justice Department also pointed\u2064 to online posts from the company&#8217;s billionaire owner Musk as an\u200c example of &#8220;discriminatory public statements.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit cited a June\u2064 2020 post on X, formerly called\u2063 Twitter,\u200c by\u2063 CEO Musk to his then 36 million followers that said: &#8220;U.S. law requires at least \u200da \u2064green card to be hired at \u200dSpaceX, as rockets are advanced\u200b weapons technology.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>SpaceX did not immediately \u200crespond to a request for comment \u2064on the lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our investigation found that SpaceX failed to fairly consider \u2064or hire asylees and refugees because\u2063 of their citizenship \u200bstatus and\u2062 imposed what\u200c amounted to a ban on their\u2064 hire regardless of their qualification, in violation of\u2063 federal\u2063 law,&#8221; said \u200bU.S. Assistant \u200dAttorney General Kristen Clarke of the Justice Department\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-choice-to-lead-dojs-civil-rights-division-melanin-endows-blacks-with-greater-mental-physical-and-spiritual-abilities-video\/\" title=\"Biden\u2019s Choice to Lead DOJ\u2019s Civil Rights Division: \u201cMelanin Endows Blacks with Greater Mental, Physical and Spiritual Abilities\u201d (VIDEO)\">civil rights division<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Clarke also said SpaceX recruiters and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-environmental-appointee-faces-conflict-of-interest-scrutiny-on-hill\/\" title=\"Biden Environmental Appointee Faces Conflict of Interest Scrutiny on Hill\">high-level officials<\/a> &#8220;actively discouraged&#8221;
