Christopher Hartless, a student at\u200d Staunton\u2062 River\u200d High\u2062 School in Bedford County, Virginia, was \u200dtold to remove \u2063two large\u2062 American flags from his truck\u2063 if \u2062he wanted to park in the\u200c school \u2064lot. He believed that \u2062he should be able to proudly display the flag that\u200b his \u2064family fought for. \u200dWhen asked about\u2064 the school&#8217;s\u200b claim \u200bthat the flags were a &#8220;distraction,&#8221; Hartless pointed out that the school itself had an American flag on\u2062 a flagpole that every student\u200b could see.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">His stepmother, Christina Kingery, \u200dfully\u2062 supported Hartless&#8217; decision. She emphasized that as\u200b long as a flag is not harmful or disrespectful, every student should have the\u200b right to fly\u2062 it. Bush \u2062in 2001, stands as a \u2063reminder of the sacrifices made by the men \u2064and women who served their country.
