Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) sounded the alarm after mask mandates were re-imposed at a small number of offices, hospitals, and schools in recent\u200b days.<\/p>\n<p>Describing the mandates as &#8220;alarming,&#8221; Mr. Johnson told Moms for Liberty on Wednesday \u200cthat they are ineffective\u2062 and would keep fighting \u200dthem.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s alarming that the mandates are kicking in again,&#8221; he told the group. &#8220;It&#8217;s like, \u2063OK, we noticed masks didn&#8217;t work, particularly\u2064 for\u200d children. He also called on the Biden administration to admit that its COVID-19 policies didn&#8217;t work.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They&#8217;ll never admit they were wrong in how they\u200b handled COVID. I don&#8217;t see how anybody can take a look at how the federal\u200d government\u2014really, over the course of two administrations\u2014how they handled COVID, and\u200c say it was anything but a complete and miserable failure,&#8221; he told\u2062 the \u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/senate\/johnson-quiet-covid-emergency-end-biden-guilt-pandemic-policies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Washington Examiner<\/a> in May.<\/p>\n<div class=\"shortcode\">\n<div class=\"lazyload-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"lazyload-placeholder\"><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The\u2063 White House, the senator added, won&#8217;t acknowledge what he \u2063described as the &#8220;the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/senator-sounds-the-alarm-on-return-of-covid-19-mask-mandates\/\" title=\"Senator warns of resurgence in COVID-19 mask mandates.\">incalculable human\u200c toll<\/a>,&#8221; the &#8220;economic\u2063 devastation caused by the shutdowns,&#8221; and vaccine injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Mr.\u200b Johnson&#8217;s recent remarks come after Hollywood studio Lionsgate said in a memo earlier this week that it would\u200c re-impose a\u2062 mask mandate for several floors of its office in \u2064Santa Monica, California. Several hospitals, including some in upstate New\u200c York \u200dand California&#8217;s Bay Area,\u2063 also re-implemented their mandates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEmployees must\u2064 wear a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/lionsgate-studio-re-enacts-covid-19-mask-mandate\/\" title=\"LionsGate Studio enforces COVID-19 mask rule.\">medical grade face covering<\/a>\u2062 (surgical \u2064mask, KN95 or N95) when indoors except\u200b when alone in an office with the door closed, actively eating, actively drinking at their \u200bdesk \u2063or workstation, \u200bor if they are the only individual present in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/lionsgate-film-studio-reinstates-mask-mandates-effective-immediately-until-further-notice\/\" title=\"Lionsgate Film Studio brings back mask mandates 'immediately' and 'until further notice'.\">large open workspace<\/a>,\u201d a Lionsgate manager \u2062said in a memo, reported by Deadline.<\/p>\n<p>This week, \u2062Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Santa Rosa, California, \u2062and the Upstate Community Hospital in Syracuse, \u200bNew York, brought back the masking rule for visitors, patients, nurses, and doctors.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;To ensure that \u2063we are helping protect the health\u2063 and safety of our patients, our workforce and our community, we have reintroduced \u2064a mask mandate for physicians,\u200b staff, patients, members, and visitors in the hospital and medical offices in the Santa Rosa Service Area,&#8221; Kaiser Permanente said.<\/p>\n<div>\n<figure style=\"width:600px\" class=\"alignnone\"><figcaption>A nurse \u200bat\u2064 a\u2062 hospital as seen in a \u2064file photo. (Nathan \u200cHoward\/Getty\u2062 Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Morris Brown College in \u200bAtlanta also\u200c said that masks will be required on campus, \u200dsaying that it was re-imposed because of a rise in cases on a \u2064larger campus in Atlanta.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There will be no parties or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/atlanta-college-reinstates-covid-mask-mandates\/\" title=\"Atlanta College brings back COVID mask mandates.\">large student events<\/a> on campus for \u200cthe next two weeks,&#8221; the \u200cschool <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CwLcj0qAeWZ\/?utm_source=ig_embed&#038;ig_rid=784b24de-4488-40b1-ae29-83312bb9dfcf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At \u200dthe\u2064 same time, there \u200bhas been \u2064an increase in media coverage about several COVID-19 variants, including one \u200dthat the U.S. Centers for \u2062Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has said could\u2062 potentially evade vaccines. The CDC\u200d or other federal\u200c agencies have not announced any new mask mandates\u200b or recommendations.<\/p>\n<h2>Media Coverage<\/h2>\n<p>In recent days, an increasing \u2064number of television doctors have made\u200d suggestions that some people start masking again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s riskier that you will get infected now than it\u2064 was a month or two ago, without question,\u2063 probably \u2063twice \u2064as risky,\u201d Dr. Bob Wachter, chair of medicine at \u2063the \u200bUniversity of San Francisco, told CNN\u2064 in a recent interview. \u201cIf you\u2019re trying to be \u2064careful, it\u2019s time\u2062 to whip out \u2063the mask again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Also appearing on CNN, Dr. Jonathan Reiner, a cardiologist in Washington D.C., said Tuesday that \u200dpeople who are at risk\u200b from a COVID-19 infection\u2014including people aged 65 and older\u2014should put masks\u2063 on\u200c again.
