One of Trump\u2019s employees at Mar-a-Lago has now flipped and apparently \u200dis testifying against the former president.<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/trump-employee-at-<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ny-times-maggie-haberman-attacks-president-trump-over-white-house-reporters-having-to-work-early-on-christmas-eve\/\" title=\"NY Times\u2019 Maggie Haberman Attacks President Trump Over White House Reporters Having to Work Early on Christmas Eve\">mar-a-lago<\/a>-retracts-false-testimony-implicates-trump-court-docs&#8221; target=&#8221;_blank&#8221; rel=&#8221;noopener&#8221;>reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><i>The employee \u2014 \u200bidentified in court \u2064documents as \u201cTrump\u200d Employee 4\u201d \u200c\u2014 quickly changed his grand\u2062 jury testimony after a meeting with a lawyer from the federal defender\u2019s office in Washington,\u2064 D.C., in which he decided that he no longer wanted to\u2063 be represented by a lawyer paid for by Trump\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/marriott-att-airbnbheres-the-list-of-corporations-announcing-they-wont-donate-to-gop-lawmakers-who-objected-to-electoral-votes-from-contested-states\/\" title=\"Marriott, AT&#038;T, Airbnb\u2026Here\u2019s The List Of Corporations Announcing They Won\u2019t Donate To GOP Lawmakers Who Objected To Electoral Votes From Contested States\">political action committee<\/a> \u2063and who \u2063was recommended \u2064to him by Trump\u2019s lawyer.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>The revelation was made in a\u200b court filing from Smith\u2019s team in response to U.S. District \u2062Court Judge Aileen Cannon, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-president-trump-gives-pardons-to-73-individuals-and-commutes-another-70-sentences-steve-bannon-is-included\/\" title=\"BREAKING: President Trump Gives Pardons to 73 Individuals and Commutes Another 70 Sentences \u2013 Steve Bannon Is Included\">federal judge overseeing<\/a> the case, who demanded to know why prosecutors continued to collect grand jury evidence in\u200d Washington, D.C., for the case in Florida. Smith also notified Cannon that the grand jury in Washington,\u200c D.C., finished \u200bits work last week.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cDuring these investigations, the Government gathered evidence that Trump\u2063 employee Carlos De Oliveira tried to enlist the director of information \u2063technology for Mar-a-Lago (identified in the superseding indictment as Trump\u2062 Employee 4) to \u2062delete Mar-a-Lago security \u200cfootage after the grand \u2063jury in the District \u200dof Columbia had \u200bissued \u2064a subpoena for the footage,\u201d the court filing said.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>The U.S. government approached \u200bStanley Woodward, \u200dthe lawyer representing Trump Employee 4, to notify \u2062him that he had a potential conflict by representing him and Walt Nauta, the Trump \u200caide accused of conspiring \u200dwith Trump to\u200d obstruct the\u2063 grand jury investigation into \u2062Trump\u2019s handling\u2064 of classified material.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cMr. \u200bWoodward responded that he did not have a reason \u200bto \u200dbelieve that his concurrent representation of\u200b Trump Employee \u20634\u200d and Nauta raised a conflict of interest,\u201d the filing said. \u201cWhen Trump Employee\u2063 4 testified\u2062 before the grand jury in the District of\u2063 Columbia in March 2023, he repeatedly denied \u200bor claimed not to recall any contacts or conversations\u200b about the security footage at Mar-a-Lago. In testimony before the same grand jury, De Oliveira likewise denied any contact with Trump Employee 4 regarding security footage.<\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Apparently, the government \u200cevidence indicated that this testimony was false.\u200d Prosecutors informed the\u200d Trump employee he \u2063was the target of the grand\u2063 jury\u2064 investigation, \u2064and he seemingly didn\u2019t\u2062 want to go to jail. So now, he is flipping lawyers\u200d and plans to testify that people were destroying the security \u2062footage at Trump\u2019s\u2063 direction.<\/p>\n<h3>WATCH: \u200dThe Ben Shapiro \u200dShow<\/h3>\n<p>Meanwhile, Trump\u2019s legal team is experiencing a number of\u2063 setbacks.
