As retaliation against Washington&#8217;s\u200c support\u200c of Taipei, the CCP \u2063has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/china\/china-sanctions-us-arms-suppliers-over-sales-to-taiwan-4292918\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">imposed a series of sanctions<\/a> on U.S. defense contractors, including Lockheed Martin.<\/p>\n<p>Despite all the threats, the\u200c United States\u200d maintains legal ties with Taiwan, guaranteeing that it\u2062 will supply the island nation with the weapons it needs for self-defense.<\/p>\n<p>In late June, the Biden administration <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/china\/us-provides-taiwan-with-345-military-aid-package-to-counter-chinas-threats-5431098\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">approved a Taiwan weapons aid package<\/a> worth up to $345 million.
