Judge John Judge, who is\u2063 overseeing the trial, gave the murder \u2064suspect \u2063until Sept. 15 to make a decision\u2064 during an all-day hearing on\u200b Aug. 18.<\/p>\n<h3>Under Idaho\u2063 law, if criminal defendants \u200ddo not waive their rights, then they must receive a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/sen-amy-klobuchar-introduces-big-tech-antitrust-bill-proposal\/\" title=\"Sen. Amy Klobuchar Introduces Big Tech Antitrust Bill Proposal\">trial date<\/a>\u2062 within\u2064 six months of their arraignment.<\/h3>\n<p>Kohberger, who was arraigned on May \u200d22, had a trial \u200dscheduled for Oct.\u200d 2\u200b at 8:30\u2063 a.m. PDT. Now, having waived that right, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/theres-hunter-hunter-biden-appears-in-court-for-paternity-dispute\/\" title=\"There's Hunter: Hunter Biden Appears in Court for Paternity Dispute\">trial start date<\/a> is indefinitely postponed.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bryan-kohberger-enters-his-plea-in-murder-of-4-idaho-students\/\" title=\"Bryan Kohberger pleads not guilty to killing 4 Idaho students.\">judge entered<\/a> a not-guilty \u200cplea for Kohberger, after the defendant \u2062exercised his Fifth \u200bAmendment right to &#8220;stand silent,&#8221; \u2064on four counts of first-degree murder \u2062and \u2062one count of felony burglary.<\/p>\n<p>Kohberger is charged in the murders of \u2062University \u2062of Idaho seniors Madison Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves, both 21;\u2063 and junior Xana Kernodle and freshman Ethan Chapin, both 20.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors announced\u200c at\u200d the end of June that they will \u200bseek the death\u2063 penalty for Kohberger.
