He Lobbies for a Country Where It\u2019s Illegal To Be Gay.\">child labor violations<\/a> affecting migrants<\/a> across the country.<\/p>\n<p>The department&#8217;s\u200b Office of Inspector General recently announced its plans to audit the department&#8217;s efforts to address child labor law violations and determine the reasons behind the\u200d increasing number of such violations.<\/p>\n<p>This \u200cscandal involves not only \u2063the Labor Department but also the Department \u2063of \u2062Health and Human Services and the White House.<\/p>\n<p>The New York Times initially broke the story in April,\u200d revealing documents that proved the administration&#8217;s \u200brapid release of \u2062unaccompanied migrant children into the country. Unfortunately, many of these children \u200cended up working in\u200b grueling jobs under\u200b hazardous conditions, often involving chemicals and industrial equipment.<\/p>\n<p>The seriousness of the issue is highlighted by the rising cases \u200bof <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gop-fires-back-at-biden-administration-over-child-labor-pot-meet-kettle\/\" title=\"GOP fires back at Biden administration over child labor: 'Pot meet kettle'\">illegal child labor<\/a>. According to Bloomberg, the DOL&#8217;s wage division has concluded 765 cases involving 4,474 children employed in \u2064violation \u200dof <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hyundai-kia-auto-parts-supplier-in-alabama-fined-for-child-labor-violations\/\" title=\"Hyundai, Kia auto parts supplier in Alabama fined for child labor violations\">federal child labor laws<\/a> \u2064in\u2064 the past 10 months alone. Overall, there has been a 69% increase in \u2064child labor violations between\u200d 2018 and 2022.<\/p>\n<p>In June, Senator Josh Hawley criticized the Biden\u200b administration for\u200b its failure to address this widespread crisis, stating that &#8220;tens of thousands of children have been sold\u200c into slavery&#8221; under their watch.<\/p>\n<p>Former\u2064 HHS employees have also come forward, claiming that they were pushed out of the agency after raising concerns about the safety of \u2062these children.<\/p>\n<p>The involvement of former domestic policy adviser\u2063 Susan Rice has also been implicated in the New York Times report. Rice and her team allegedly failed to take action despite calls from administration staff \u200cto implement stricter vetting of sponsors to \u2063prevent human trafficking. Rice eventually stepped down a week after the report was published.<\/p>\n<p>Further reports have revealed that children were placed in\u200b the homes of unscreened adults, some of whom may have been \u200b<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/a-sex-offender-is-running-for-student-body-president-at-a-community-college-this-isnt-a-first\/\" title=\"A Sex Offender Is Running For Student Body President At A Community College. This Isn\u2019t A First.\">registered sex offenders<\/a> or had a history of child neglect.<\/p>\n<p>The New York Times reported that \u2064although the two departments did inform the White House \u2063about the problem, the notices\u2063 were not marked as urgent and \u200bdid not adequately\u2062 convey the severity\u2063 of the crisis.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Labor&#8217;s watchdog is probing its involvement in migrant child labor violations.
