Version: 4.0.47--><h2>This is giving kangaroo courts a bad name.<\/h2>\n<p>The \u200btrial \u2062of former President Donald Trump in the District of Columbia isn\u2019t even close \u200cto starting yet, but Americans who support the 45th president \u200dcan already be sure of one \u2062thing: The judge has already reached her own verdict.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s \u200cbeen clear\u2063 from the get-go \u200cthat U.S. District Judge Tanya\u200b Chutkan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/judge-overseeing-trump-case-already-issued-ruling-matters-not-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">is biased<\/a> in the case being \u2063brought by Department of Justice special counsel Jack Smith that \u2064accuses Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/breaking-grand-jury-makes-decision-trump-indictment-jan-6\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">of four counts<\/a> related to\u200d the Capitol incursion of Jan. 6, \u200b2021: conspiracy to defraud the United States,\u2062 conspiracy\u2064 to obstruct an official \u2062proceeding, obstruction of and attempt\u2062 to obstruct an \u200bofficial proceeding,\u2064 and conspiracy against rights.<\/p>\n<p>But a\u200d review \u2062of Chutkan\u2019s handling of Capitol \u200bincursion defendants by the website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearinvestigations.com\/articles\/2023\/08\/23\/with_her_many_statements_in_jan_6_courtroom_trump_judge_seems_the_pot_calling_the_defendant_inflammatory_974586.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RealClearInvestigations<\/a> \u200b yielded an\u2064 explosive \u2063result: Chutkan is not only biased, she\u2019s tacitly pronounced Trump guilty, in\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/judge-rules-rachel-maddows-statements-cannot-reasonably-be-interpreted-as-allegations-of-fact\/\" title=\"Judge Rules Rachel Maddow\u2019s \u2018Statements Cannot Reasonably Be Interpreted As Allegations Of Fact\u2019\">open court<\/a>, of what are essentially the charges against him.<\/p>\n<p>And she\u2019s done it more than once.<\/p>\n<p>In\u200b one case, Chutkan sentenced Christine \u200bPriola, a Cleveland \u200bwoman, to 15 months in prison after\u200d Priola pleaded guilty to obstructing an official proceeding\u2062 and\u2063 aiding and abetting, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/fox8.com\/news\/ex-cleveland-schools-worker-sentenced-for-her-role-in-jan-6-attack\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WJW<\/a> \u2062in Cleveland.<\/p>\n<p>But judging by Chutkan\u2019s words from the bench at the Oct. 28 hearing, the real culprit was\u2064 Donald Trump, and he deserved \u200cto be in prison,\u200d too.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The participants in the incursion \u201cwere there in fealty, \u2062in loyalty, to one \u2064man \u2014 not to\u2062 the Constitution, of which most \u200cof the people\u200c who come\u200c before me seem woefully ignorant, not to \u200dthe ideals of this country, and not to the \u200dprinciples of democracy,\u201d \u200cChutkan said, according to RealClearInvestigations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a blind loyalty \u2062to one person who, by\u200c the way, remains free to this day.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cFree to this day\u201d? Sounds\u2062 an awful lot like Chutkan was\u200b wishing she was putting Donald Trump behind bars, not a former occupational therapist from Ohio.<\/p>\n<p>In another case, she sentenced Texas resident Matthew\u200b Mazzocco to 45 days behind\u200b bars\u2063 when, according to \u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/dc-md-va\/2021\/10\/04\/capitol-riot-jail-deter-mazzocco\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Washington \u2063Post<\/a>. P<em>rosecutors had only asked\u2062 for \u200cprobation<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>And, in Chutkan\u2019s words, she made it clear that Trump was\u2063 the man who should\u2062 have\u2062 been standing \u2062before her instead.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Mazzocco, \u200dChutkan said, \u201cwent there \u200bto support one man who he viewed had the\u200b election taken from him. In total disregard of a \u200b<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-biggest-threat-to-democracy-is-media-hysterics-about-threats-to-democracy\/\" title=\"Media hysteria about 'threats to democracy' is the biggest threat to democracy.\">lawfully conducted election<\/a>, \u200che went to the Capitol in support of one man, not in support\u200b of our \u200ccountry or \u2062in support of democracy.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>And \u2063that \u201cone man\u201d is going to be \u200drelying on Chutkan to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/explosive-report-judge-in-trump-jan-6-case-previously-said-in-open-court-hes-guilty-of-crimes\/\" title=\"Breaking: Judge in Trump Jan 6 Case Admits Guilt of Crimes in Open Court\">dispense impartial\u2063 justice<\/a> in her courtroom?<\/p>\n<p>With that\u2063 kind of record, it\u2019s more \u2062than understandable that Rep. Matt Gaetz, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/matt-gaetz-threatens-jack-smith-subpoena-force-house-judiciary-committee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Florida Republican firebrand<\/a>, has introduced a <a href=\"https:\/\/gaetz.house.gov\/sites\/evo-subsites\/gaetz.house.gov\/files\/evo-media-document\/gaetz_final.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">measure \u200bto censure Chutkan<\/a>  \u2063 for her comments \u2014 not only regarding Trump \u2062himself but \u2063also \u200ccomparing the Capitol incursion, unfavorably, to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/democrats-giddy-judge-greeted-trump-court\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Black Lives Matter rioters<\/a> who burned American cities during the \u200bsummer\u200c of 2020.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cBut to compare the actions of people protesting, mostly peacefully, for civil rights, to those of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/report-anti-israel-activist-heading-to-biden-state-dept\/\" title=\"Report:\u00a0Anti-Israel Activist Heading to Biden State Dept\">violent mob seeking<\/a> \u200cto overthrow the lawfully \u200celected\u2064 government is a false equivalency and \u2063ignores a very real \u2062danger that the Jan. 6 riots posed to the \u2064foundation of our democracy,\u201d she said at Mazzocco\u2019s sentencing hearing, The Washington \u2062Post \u200breported.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Gaetz clearly knows, just like any honest \u2064observer knows, that Chutkan has reached her own decision \u200don the\u200b Trump case\u2064 \u2014 and the \u2064decision is \u200bclearly going to \u200ccolor every decision she makes as it proceeds.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/legaldictionary.net\/kangaroo-court\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/roger-stone-announces-he-will-sue-those-who-arrested-him-and-put-him-in-front-of-a-kangaroo-court\/\" title=\"Roger Stone Announces He Will Sue Those Who Arrested Him and Put Him In Front of a Kangaroo Court\">kangaroo court<\/a><\/a> is\u2064 a parody of justice, where predetermined\u2064 verdicts get the color of\u2062 due process, the \u2064fiction\u2063 that a\u200d legal proceeding has ensured the rights of the \u200daccused, as\u200c well\u2063 as the rights and duties of\u200d the society whose rules he is supposed to have violated.<\/p>\n<p>If Judge Tanya Chutkan is\u200d allowed to continue\u200c to preside over the case \u2014 a woman who\u200d has already pronounced the defendant guilty, on more than one occasion, and in open court \u2014 Trump\u2019s trial in D.C. won\u2019t have even\u200c that.<\/p>\n<p>The post <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/explosive-report-judge-trump-jan-6-case-previously-said-open-court-guilty-crimes\/\">Explosive Report: Judge in\u200c Trump Jan \u200d6 Case\u2062 Previously\u2063 Said in Open \u2063Court He&#8217;s\u2063 Guilty of Crimes<\/a> appeared first on <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\">The Western\u200c Journal<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This trial in the District of Columbia is tarnishing kangaroo courts&#8217; reputation.
