In recently released <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/watch\/?v=947968713168627\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bodycam footage<\/a>, officers can be seen attempting to force their way \u200dinto the house, but their efforts prove futile.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Despite the obstacles, the\u200c police spotted the distressed woman on \u2064the second floor, \u200bpleading for help.\u2063 With the assistance of a ladder\u2064 borrowed from a neighbor, \u2064they managed to reach her.<\/p>\n<p>Inside the room, \u200bthey discovered a distraught \u2063woman, crying and in a state of panic, with a chain tightly locked around her neck and bolted to the floor.<\/p>\n<p>According to the LMPD, &#8220;The\u200c woman had a chain around her neck, which \u200dwas secured by a MasterLock, \u2064and that chain was \u2063bolted to the floor with\u200b screws.&#8221;\u200c She explained to the officer that the man who held her captive had the key to the lock on his keychain. \u2063Using a hatchet, \u2063the officer skillfully breaks the metal connecting the chain to the floor.<\/p>\n<p>Once outside, the\u2063 woman receives immediate medical attention\u2063 from \u200cthe police and firefighters. They swiftly \u200cremove the chain from her neck\u200c using\u200c bolt \u2062cutters.<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\"><\/b><\/p>\n<h3>Abuser Arrested, Victim Shares Child with Perpetrator<\/h3>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Two days later, the\u200b police \u2062apprehended May. The incident\u200b unfolded after \u200ban argument between May and the victim turned violent, resulting in him forcefully restraining her on the bathroom floor\u2064 and \u200cbrutally \u200ccutting off most\u200b of her hair with a machete. The arrest report \u2064obtained by\u2063 WAVE reveals that May and the \u2063victim have a child together.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Following the\u200d altercation, the \u2062woman managed to escape the house. \u2062However, \u2062upon her return to retrieve her belongings, May locked all the \u2062doors\u200d with a deadbolt, effectively\u200d trapping her inside. Allegedly, May coerced the woman\u200c into removing her clothes \u200dand menacingly warned her,\u200b &#8220;You&#8217;re \u2062gonna get it tonight. I told you \u2062the next \u2064time you leave and don&#8217;t come home,\u200c I&#8217;d kill \u200byou.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He\u2063 then proceeded to chain her to the floor upstairs. Eventually, May left the premises, taking her cell phone with\u2064 him. However, the woman&#8217;s determination\u200c led her to break the window and attract the attention of \u200dconcerned neighbors, \u2063who promptly contacted\u200d the police.<\/p>\n<p>May has pleaded not\u2062 guilty to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/u-s-whistleblower-edward-snowdens-wife-shares-photos-of-their-new-son\/\" title=\"U.S. whistleblower Edward Snowden\u2019s wife shares photos of their new son\">charges brought<\/a> against him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>other related offenses.
