Do you love\u2064 your mother? \u2064You&#8217;re an a**hole!&#8221;<\/h2>\n<p> she \u2063tells an officer. <\/p>\n<h2>&#8220;Get \u2062out of my house!&#8221;<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>At one\u2064 point, Meyer tells Police Chief Gideon Cody to \u200bstep outside the home \u2064and wait\u2064 for his officers.<\/p>\n<p><h2>&#8220;How \u200dmany computers do you have in the house, ma&#8217;am,&#8221;<\/h2>\n<p> an officer asks at one point in the video.<\/p>\n<p><h2>&#8220;I&#8217;m not going to\u200d tell you. Get out of my way. I want\u2062 to see what they&#8217;re doing,&#8221;<\/h2>\n<p> Meyer says.<\/p>\n<p><h2>&#8220;Well, they&#8217;re working. You \u200bcan go on \u2062through \u200cif you want,&#8221;<\/h2>\n<p> an officer responds.<\/p>\n<p><h2>&#8220;Those are personal papers!&#8221;<\/h2>\n<p> she \u2063tells the cops as\u2062 they\u200b go through her belongings.<\/p>\n<p>Meyer died the next \u200bday following\u200d the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/police-shut-down-church-of-alberta-pastor-who-was-imprisoned-for-holding-church-services\/\" title=\"Police Shut Down Church Of Alberta Pastor Who Was Imprisoned For Holding Church Services\">police raid<\/a>\u200b on her home. Her son, Marion County\u200d Record Publisher Eric Meyer, said he believes the stress and \u2063anger she \u200dexperienced due \u200bto \u2063the police raid contributed to her death.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday,\u200c he \u200creleased \u200bthe video \u2062clip of the raid, \u2063which is from about an hour and a half \u200dinto the two-hour raid of \u2064Meyer&#8217;s home.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2064raids on Meyer&#8217;s home and\u2063 the Marion County Record&#8217;s newsroom came after reporters dug into allegations that the police\u200c department had turned a blind eye to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/video-98-year-old-kansas-newspaper-owner-tells-police-get-out-of-my-house-during-raid\/\" title=\"98-Year-Old Kansas Newspaper Owner Defiantly Tells Police to Leave During Raid\">local \u200csweets shop \u2062owner driving<\/a> with a suspended license after a DUI.<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\"><\/b><\/p>\n<p>The police department <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/us-news\/get-house-98-year-old-co-owner-kansas-newspaper-swears-police-raid-rcna101215\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> they believed a\u2063 reporter might have committed identity theft in \u200dpulling records on the sweets\u200b shop owner, but both the newspaper and the reporter said \u2063they only \u2064accessed publicly available \u200drecords.<\/p>\n<p>Police seized electronic devices such as computers and phones during\u200d the raids.<\/p>\n<p>Five days after \u200bthe raid, \u2062the Marion County Attorney found \u200dthat police had &#8220;insufficient evidence&#8221; for\u2064 the raids, withdrew the\u2062 warrants, and ordered all items to be returned.<\/p>\n<p>The\u200d Kansas Bureau of Investigation is now\u2063 investigating the incident.<\/p>\n<p><h3>&#8220;It is not a crime in \u200cAmerica\u200d to be a reporter,&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p> Bernie Rhodes, an attorney for the \u200cMeyers and their newspaper, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/watch-kansas-98-year-old-makes-1st-amendment-stand-deputies-raid-home-get-out-my-house\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> Fox News.<\/p>\n<p>The attorney <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kctv5.com\/2023\/08\/21\/family-exploring-legal-action-death-98-year-old-marion-county-record-publisher\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> \u200cthe family is exploring all of their options, including a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-federal-investigators-reveal-likely-reason-for-helicopter-crash-that-killed-kobe-bryant\/\" title=\"BREAKING: Federal Investigators Reveal Likely Reason For Helicopter Crash That Killed Kobe Bryant\">wrongful death lawsuit<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In 1998, Meyer and her husband\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/watch-kansas-98-year-old-makes-1st-amendment-stand-deputies-raid-home-get-out-my-house\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bought<\/a> \u2062the Marion County Record, founded in 1874, to \u2063save it from being taken over by a corporate chain.
